In my opinion properties managed by March Development are expensive and managed by amateurs . NNN expenses increased almost every year. One of the main employees (I believe is the owner) Beth Wright is not very professional. In fact, when renewing our lease she got emotional and acted in an immature manner. The most frustrating part of working with March Development is that the broker they use, Chris Wright (Cornish & Carey Commercial), is her husband. Talk about conflict of interest. I've worked with March Development over the last 9 years and can confidently say that they are, in fact, quite professional; very easy to reach; provide fast follow up on problem resolution; and keep our tenancy as top priority. Anytime we have had issues with homeless; other tenant disturbances; building safety and maintenance, each of these issues was handled in a timely, efficient manner with very satisfactory results. We worked with both Rhonda and Beth during our lease renewal, and they were open to negotiations over rent and improvements, and even offered a few items we hadn't thought of. Someone mentioned that their NNN expenses keep rising every year. I can tell you, as an accountant, that business expenses in general increase every year. Any tenant who thinks they will pay the same NNN year after year is fooling themselves. Even the most basic of costs such as electricity, water, and common area maintenance continue to rise, and this has nothing to do with the property managers. I can tell you confidently, that we receive a very detailed outline of the expenses that go into our NNN, as well as a year end reconciliation. Rhonda and her team are great to work with, easy to talk to, and take each of our inquiries/complaints seriously and handled with the best of care. These people just don't know anything about real estate management. As a 20 year veteran of Commercial Real Estate management for some of the largest companies in the US, I know what I am talking about when I say, DO NOT WORK with this company. They bully their customers and threaten them anytime there is a simple glitch in paperwork. I am a Trustee for a large trust which is managed by this company. I have found them to be unprofessional, short tempered, arrogant, very amateurish, and basically incapable of dealing even politely with myself as a Trustee. Rhonda in this company is very nice; however the "President", Beth Edwards is the most arrogant and unhelpful entity I have ever had the misfortune of having to interact. This Beth Edwards is the daughter of one of the main owners of the main Trust connected with this account. I am Trustee for one person who received the benefits from a percentage of the trust upon his mother's demise. I'm quite sure that Beth Edwards would NOT have this position but for the fact she is her father's daughter. I had left a message a day ago asking about the change in income. She replied with a voicemail a most arrogant and very impolite manner saying that "although Rhonda had already told me"(which is not true) that she knew that she should only talk to me as the Trustee. She further stated that she had heard from the recipient of this trust who I represent. Going AGAINST HER OWN ADMISSION, she spoke with the man who is the recipient of this trust. Ignoring the fact that she should reply to me, she talked to him directly rather than suggesting he talk to his Trustee (as she had said was the correct way to do so) Her voicemail was most arrogant. It was a matter of not preparing the annual budget until the 3rd or 4th month of the year. Rather than preparing this annual budget based on income of the properties, she, as the responsible person, delayed and continued to pay a large amount of money to my recipient following the previous year's budget. Because of this delay, she suddenly saw that the income for the various properties had reduced and thus decided that she would remove the overages for the following months by deleting the payment amount. When I politely asked why the budget wasn't prepared prior to the year end or at least in the first month of the year she became very incensed that I was questioning this stating that they had always done it this way. She then proceeded to say that she did not have to talk to me and that I shouldn't be calling. Her lack of control and lack of professionalism certainly showed itself. She is without a doubt the most spoiled, amateurish acting person who is completely unprofessional. Were it not for her father, I am quite sure, a more efficient and professional person would be handling this large trust. I certainly cannot recommend March Development's President and strongly suggest that Beth Edwards develop some proper interpersonal skills with clients. read more
