Just walking up and down the aisles was enough for me to want to write a review and tell those looking for an Asian specific market in Verdun. Therefore not in Chinatown, but it seems it could hold it's own there. A multitude of Asian specialty dry goods, frozen goods and produce, plus other grocery staples mixed in. I could not believe they had two firm ripe tomatoes for .99 cents, baby carrots for .99 cents and Chinese cabbage for yes you guessed it .99 cents. Authentic Central American chocolate triangles (for hot chocolate) were another standout. Don't expect a pristine market like 5 Saisons in Westmount, but if you can put up with a spill on the floor with a sponge laying it (kind of fits with the charm), this place is worth a go through. I'll have to update this review after I actually buy something, (I would have if I wasn't in a rush) for now I wonder why I previously just walked by it. read more
