Excellent do-it-yourself laundry. Commercial washing machines in 3 sizes and large dryers. Washers are more expensive than other places we have been ($4, $6 & $8), but dryers are $0.25 for 6 minutes. Better than paying several dollars per load, because you can add a quarter at a time if everything doesn't get dry. Good selection of recent magazines to look at. I'm a pilot, so I especially liked the EAA Sport Aviation ones. They have a cooler with drinks and cans of soda are $1. Many places charge a lot more than that. When came back to check on dryer she made mention that she saw a dollar bill floating around inside so that we'd pay attention and retrieve. It was a 20 so glad for that find. Coulda conveniently disappeared so I was impressed. Close cleaned well on cold with tide pod. Great find for mid-trip cleaning. read more

Well let me tell you that this place is so clean, well air conditioned, and has modern digital machines. It was such a pleasant experience that I didn't mind 2 hours doing laundry. We were directed to this laundromat by the hotel we were staying at. We were very impressed with how clean it was and how friendly Sue was. We were disappointed that the Hilton didn't have machines on site (rare these days at a "resort" so we found this place. Very convenient, we dropped off our laundry shortly after 8a when they opened and could have picked it up by 3p! We didn't get back until after that, but it was clean, folded and in a big bag for easy carrying. No missing clothing or socks. $1.50/lb, $18 for our family of 4- that was about 3 days of laundry since we go through more with beach/sand, etc. We would highly recommend it- why do your laundry yourself and sit in the laundromat when you could be at the beach? Most days 8a-8p, Sun only open until 3pm. read more

I have visited a lot of laundromats in Florida and the Bahamas and this is the BEST one I've used. It is very clean, the washers and dryers all worked well, with no 'Out of Order' signs on any of them, and the 'attendant' (the owner's husband) was friendly and helpful and very attentive whenever a customer entered. I did my own wash, but I would like to try their wash and fold at some time in the future. read more

Stayed at the Hilton Resort on Marco Island at the end of February 2012. It was a fun 7 days - lots of time spent on the beach and excursions to the Everglades and Naples. Enough clothes to last the whole 7 days but turned out that sand can get into every thing and wearing the same top 2 days in a row in a very warm climate may not be as comfortable as one could hope. The hotel offers laundry but at $3 per underwear and $9 per shirt, that's a bit much. The one and only laundromat on the island called Marco Island Laundry is located at 277 N. Collier Blvd in the same building as the Empire Bagel Factory (good bagels!) - a 3 minute drive from the Hilton. The laundromat was well kept, machines ran efficiently and the woman who owns the place (Sue) makes sure the place is running smoothly. The laundromat is a lifesaver for travelers who choose not to bring a bunch of clothes to their trip, ones who don't want to pay through the nose at the resorts or the ones who live there whose washers decide to take a vacation. Marco island Laundry offers do-it-yourself wash or dropoff at (way) reasonable prices. read more
