I took over the task of finding a photographer because it was too stressful for her from states away. My sisters mean the world to me and knowing how important this was to her, I took the task very seriously. I messaged many many photographers explaining the situation. Some cost 400 for an hour and 10 final photos. (I'm sorry, what?) There were very many talented photographers, but I will be honest, once I spoke to these two, the decision was easy. The communication wasn't about what they required, it was about what we were looking for. We got two photographers for two hours for the price of one. The best part was that when I finally gave my sister a couple of options, she liked their photos the best (which was great because they were most affordable by a lot.) The actual photo session was incredible. Their demeanor was so welcoming. They made sure we were all comfortable. We brought silly props and had a bunch of our own ideas and opinions and they welcomed it graciously but also used their own creative vision which was great because they have the talent! It was enjoyable the entire time for all of us. The communication has been great, there's no limit on photos, they have great energy. We received a sneak peak yesterday of some of the photos and I am CONFIDENT that if you go with these photographers you will not be disappointed. I was so satisfied that I told them they should charge more. The response was that they wanted to be accessible to all families and couples. I don't leave a lot of reviews because I don't like to say negative things, but when something is great I want to shout it from the rooftops. My wife immediately noticed and politely asked Ronnie to take a quick retake once she removed them. Before my daughter could remove them, he snapped another shot and flat-out refused to take another one--claiming he only took two shots per kid. The issue? My wife personally watched him retake photos for several other girls moments later. That kind of inconsistency is unfair and unprofessional. If he's going to enforce rules, they should apply to everyone, not selectively! While he did issue a refund, that does nothing to make up for my daughter missing out on a proper photo to remember her season. Sports photos are supposed to be meaningful keepsakes, but his dismissive attitude made the entire experience feel rushed and impersonal. It would have taken him seconds to retake the picture and show even the slightest care for his work or his clients but he didn't. Ronnie Esparza Photography clearly lacks basic customer service skills and fairness. I won't be using his services in the future, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you value professionalism and respect.

On the day of our shoot, my husband woke up very sick. He wanted to cancel but I begged him to hang in for a few hours until our session was complete. He agreed but he was irritable the whole time. Our son was cranky and teething and hadn't slept through the night for at least a week. Plus we had just partied for three days with out friends at our family beach house in Moss Landing so I was super tired! To top it off, the weather on the afternoon of our shoot was unforgiving. When Rachel arrived we sort of rushed her through our session because we all wanted to get back home to the Bay. I figured we wouldn't get a lot of good shots but if we got at least a few it wouldn't be wasted effort. She was gracious and patient and gave us just the right amount of direction that we needed since my husband and I feel super awkward in front of the camera. Despite giving her zero workable material, the photos came out gorgeous! (And we received them in a week!) I couldn't believe it.
