I came to NC from California to find my dream retirement home only to be snubbed and ignored my entire stay. I picked a hotel close to their office thinking it would be easy for travel to the various homes I had designated as "Like" thinking the "realtor" could show my wife and I homes. I made an honest mistake assuming I would be transported by the Megan to various sites but because of CoVid she stated I needed my own car. I took responsibility but that was it for her I was wasting her time!!! An associate named Jenny Martin, who was gracious and sweet guided us on her own time to 3 of the spots on my list. The problem was Megan did not screen any of the locations and we ended up in "tobacco road" homes completely unsuitable. Now I'm under the impression a good realtor would of screened these choices and gotten rid of undesirable homes since I'm from California and don't know NC " Location Location Location" Not Megan she did NOTHING!!. So first day wasted . The next day mind you have rented car thinking I would get some showings, she just sent me 2 open houses i had picked from my likes . No meeting her AT ALL!! Bright side I meet a wonderful agent at one of the open houses that went out of her way to show me some homes after her busy day showing at her open house. I text Megan after our final day of searching telling her thanks for nothing and got counter attacked saying I didn't want a realtor , I wanted a tour guide. I'm appalled by my treatment. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS MEGAN RESTIVO.

As we were all on pins & needles, we didn't get our answer until after 10AM this morning. My agent called Pamela, text her, and sent her emails, with no replies. To say the least, I didn't get much sleep last night. How inconsiderate of her not to reach out to all the people who made offers on this property/their agents to just let them know there had been a delay. Not a very caring Agent, knowing clients/buyers are waiting. I prefer considerate agents/team members. One who realizes buyers are anxiously waiting to hear if their offer was accepted. There are tons of RE Agents out there, and who want your business, and this isn't a team I would recommend based on the experience I had this past weekend. If you are searching for an agent/team who understands your time, and who is considerate, caring and compassionate......search elsewhere!

To make this process even more challenging, my wife was 6 months pregnant with our first child. We flew out to Charlotte on Thanksgiving night to look at houses. Kelly Smith was the realtor my wife was working with, and since she was going to be out of town for the holiday, Kent Temple filled in for her. From the first 5 minutes after meeting Kent, you know you are in good hands. Kent makes you feel like you are part of his family, hes honest, willing to help in any way, and will answer any kind of crazy questions you may have...trust me, I ask all kinds of questions. Unfortunately we were not able to find a home when we went looking with Kent, and Kelly was able to pick up where Kent left off. Since we were in a hurry to move, Kelly helped up find a rental while we look for a house to buy. I cant begin to say enough good things about Kelly. She is one of the most organized, helpful, and willing to show as many houses as it takes. Kelly was always available to us and would always promptly respond to email / calls. Kelly over communicates in order to be very clear that she understands what we want and that we understand what she advises. We felt very comfortable working with Kelly as she did not push us into homes nor did she push us away from homes. Instead she asked us how we felt about the home after each visit and let us come to our own decisions. If we were unsure, we asked her for her personal/professional opinion and only then would she influence our decision. What you look for when you choose a realtor may be different for everyone, but I can vouch that with Kelly and the Temple Team you will get someone who will do her best to help you get the home that you want

Originally we had thought we would probably eventually move to the Villages in Florida but she also looked at Bailey's Glen in Cornelius as well as Trilogy in Denver. We put our Condo on the Market in February and things started out fine but then we went under Covid Lockdown and that put a halt to all home sales unless the home was currently unoccupied. We moved in the Phase 1 of moving out from under Lockdown and while there were limitations, Realtors were able to start showing again. Got one low ball offer immediately which we ignored but a week later, we got a serious offer which we negotiated to a fair price close to the original asking price. With contract in hand, last Saturday we went over and toured 4 different models that Susan liked. Christi was a fantastic agent for Shea Homes. Narrowed it down to two homes and Susan chose the Independence Model and we signed a contract on it. Tentatively closing is set for next month and we are looking forward to it. Susan is looking forward to it and has gone over several times measuring and planning. Last Friday her Son and Daughter-in-Law went over and got a chance to at least see the pool and tennis court plus some of the Club House. Thumbs up to all.
