This hotel has a good location. It's close to the beach, there are many restaurant nearby. The concierge is very friendly. Top notch customer service. They have pool and sauna on the rooftop. However the hotel's elevator is small and old. Room was not as spacious as expected. There's derelict building next to the hotel and there are junkies lives there. This hotel is perfect for the budget traveler. I wanted something that didn't cost too much, but was very close to the beach and in an area that was considered safer than the rest. That's exactly what I found here. The beaches are very pretty and there's a grocery store directly across the street from the hotel so you can stock up the mini fridge with inexpensive food. They do give you shampoo and soap, which is not always the case in Brazil. My room was very basic but there was a TV and everything I needed. Please read the reviews before you go to the surrounding attractions. Some of them warn you of unsafe areas. But the beach area right around the front of the hotel was very nice. Also be aware that you really do need the Brazilian currency, as dollars won't get you very far in most places here. Happy traveling! read more
