Going through the probate process took a long time(2 and a half years) partial due to the nature of the courts and partially due to some more uncommon issues that came up. Including an existence of a trust, but being unable to locate a copy including finding the attorney who originally set up the trust and asking if they had any copies. Unfortunately, the trust was set up before computer records were common. Another problem they helped me with was SunRun decided, for reasons we were never able to figure out, to try to shut of service even after I had began the process of transferring everything into my name and was only then waiting on the deed for the house that I wouldn't have until probate was over. Getting a letter saying SunRun was going to deactivate my service for being overdue on payments while in the same letter saying I owed no money and was 0 days past due was confusing and was confusingto every SunRunemployeei spoke to and none could give me answers. Burris Law helped me tremendously with this and without their help I don't know what would have happened in the end. I can't say enough nice things about them. They sent me 2 small care packages during the process and it was really nice to get something positive in the mail during a time when I was getting anxiety every time the mail came. Even after probate has been over for a year they answer any questions I have that come up. Retaining their services was expensive, as it would have been for any probate attorney, and it was worth every cent. When I'm in a better spot I'll be back to set up my own trust with their help.

Ariana and her team addressed our concerns and helped ease our emotional burden during this difficult time. I can't express enough how approachable the team was and how clearly our options were described to us. Burris Law was exceptional and the team was very responsive to any questions as well as going above and beyond. She reviewed my purchase contract, disclosures thoroughly, caught what mattered, and gave me honest, no-BS clarity on my next steps. From the moment we started, she skipped the fluff and got straight to work. Every minute counted and none of it was wasted. She spotted that my SPQ and TDS were not up to date after disclosures were added later, and made sure I knew to be BCC'd on all communications going forward. These are exactly the kinds of things you don't know to look for until it's too late. Her background as both an attorney and a real estate agent gives her perspective that most attorneys simply don't have. But what struck me most is that she is a true advocate for you. I walked away feeling informed, confident, and truly protected. If you need someone detail-oriented, straight to the point, and genuinely in your corner, I highly recommend her.

I initially contacted Mr. Ryan Bushore as he was listed in Los Angeles Magazines 2024 Super Lawyers…read moreto help with estate planning. He is wonderful person. He largely works with churches and non-profits as well as individuals, but the best gift is his heart. After speaking with him for about 20 minutes (after he had already closed for the day!) he advised me to first reach out to a tax attorney as the most economic step to figure out a strategy with the assets. I was most grateful for the consideration! As he says, "I rather help people avoid a pitfall than haul them out of one afterwards," so he will advise you according to your bests interest. Highly recommend.

In the…read morepast year I have worked with Ryan, I have found him to be extremely knowledgable in many different aspects of facility management. He is professional and an expert in multiple fields from law, real estate, to construction. Even though his schedule is often packed, he will do what he can to make time for our staff/team as we learn how to sustain an aging property. He is patient with us and will get more than what's required of him done where we are limited - which is why the church is extremely grateful and appreciative of Ryan (although I know the church also has a much longer history and relationship with Ryan's father, Gerald). I know Ryan cares for the church as he would often do what he can first and foremost to protect us from being in a bad position/situation with tenants and the law. As a ministry (or church) worker, I personally value the person more than just the services they provide. Although I can also understand the business and contractual side of things. Nonetheless, I believe working/professional relationships can have healthy boundaries so we can still minister to professionals serving us more than a mere transaction of payment and service. I understand this is my personal opinion/preference and Ryan probably hold a different view - a stricter professional view - in which case I can also respect and accept.
