I immediately fell asleep every night that I hit the bed. Breakfast was included with the stay. The selection was mostly packaged pastries and charcuterie, and lots of sweets that I normally associated with dessert (macarons, chocolate brownies, truffles, etc.) Is it customary to have dessert for breakfast in Bavaria? They did make fresh scrambled eggs upon request, but I wished there were more savory items. The chopped fruit cups contained a large variety of fruit -- those were my favorite. The staff was very sweet and helpful. There were only a few of them, but they cross-covered everything from reception to cooking to cleaning. They gave us a map of town and marked all the interesting spots to get us oriented. The hospitality was refreshing and made us feel welcomed in this cute little town.

The breakfast room was very inviting, and the breakfast was outstanding with many items to please everyone. The owner offered the cook eggs to order. They had absolutely the best brand of yoghurt I've ever had! The hotel has a cozy reading room in the basement. We had parking at no charge. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the shops in Oberammergau. We stayed 2 nights, and I really regretted having to leave. I especially enjoyed chatting with the owner! I booked this place for 4 nights because the reviews were good and it was half a mile from my friends and from downtown. It's PERFECT!!!!! The room is clean, comfortable and neatly soundproof. I wish I had stayed here for the entire 10 days I was in Garmisch. The breakfast is outstanding and the service is equally as outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel. They even helped me book my ticket to Zugspitz! I have zero complaints. Excellent hotel in a perfect location.

Unfortunately for us we were given a room with no view and only because we did a last minute booking. The prices are reasonable and I would happily come back here anytime. The staff are extremely helpful and prompt and if you need any help they are always wiling to help. Like many hotels in Germany don't expect air conditioning as this is not common. In the summer months leave your windows open and hope for the best.

The room we had was fabulous albeit slightly dated and missing the luxury I would expect in a hotel at this price like bathrobes, plush towels and good toiletries. But everything else was on the money. Breakfast was very nice and extensive, dinner here was excellent and I loved my cappuccino soup and apple crumble. Good wine list and super friendly service. Dogs are allowed here for an extra charge and they had a nice bowl and bed waiting for our dog when we arrived with food and so on. The hotel is on a hiking trail so you can literally step out and go walking into the mountains. The views from up here is fantastic and it's very quiet during the night. All in all a fabulous experience we would happily repeat again.

I sat out there for hours just staring at the mountain. Balcony comes with a table and 2 chairs. Perfect to watch the sunset. - Beds were hard (I overheard other people complaining at breakfast), I was fine with it or maybe just super tired. The pillows were so thin that they were uncomfortable. You needed to stack two, maybe three. Location - Perfect location to walk around the town (where you can't drive). Breakfast - YES. Come with an apetite because the breakfast is delicious and comes with your stay. Head down to the breakfast area and there are two indoor areas to sit and outside. - Many options from breads like roast, rolls, croissants, chocolate croissants and more. - Salmon, meats, cheese. - Cereal - Hot food items which consisted of sausage, bacon, eggs and one grilled vegetable - The best part about the breakfast are their drinks. A few types of juices, water, tea options and unlimited coffee. They have two coffee machines which make all types of coffee, hot chocolates, etc. Parking - There are maybe 6 free spots in front of the hotel. Good luck getting one of these. The hotel told us spaces open up around 10-12 but we never saw one. - You can park in their garage for 12 euros a day. - There's free street parking around the corner which is what we did. Pool - There is a heated pool which we didn't use but looked nice!
