Car access is via Calle de las Ciencias: it's about a 10-minute walk from Bellvitge railway station. Buses stop close by on Gran Vía from central Barcelona. We found the stock availability reasonably good, although we had to make two visits as they had run out of a few items. The choice of soft furnishings was good, and they had some good-value special offers on things like rugs. One oddity of opening times in Catalonia is that they are only allowed to open on certain Sundays, and the choice of dates - specififed by the regional government - seems pretty random. Ring in advance to check they are open, to avoid a wasted trip. The snack-bar serves very limited Scandinavian fare (nothing vegetarian), although the cafe and restaurant on the first floor both have sandwiches, pastries and good coffee. As ever, there are good facilities for children, and free lockers so you can leave coats, etc behind. The staff were helpful and friendly (more so than in the London stores), but the delivery service was a bit wobbly: the delivery men arrived late, after the agreed delivery slot, couldn't work out how to use the door-bell, and nearly drove off without making the delivery. Fortunately, we managed to catch them first, and we also had to persuade them to stay long enough for us to check everything had arrived (which it had). Everything delivered came with the requisite number of screws, bolts, etc. So: the store gets four stars on its own, but three on this occasion considering the delivery service.

We browsed n touched a few things and left. I made it a point to walk close to three women all dressed in blue, but yet no customer service. The store was clean and bright. The prices looked competitive but not cheap. I would possibly shop here if I lived here. There were some cute items. I didn't see any really bright colors that you might use as an accent color. More of greys, yellows, tans n and whites. Go see it for yourself.

I like that when I walked in I was not stalked like I had been in some other places. I was able to browse without feeling uncomfortable. When I looked perplexed about a product, Alicia came to my rescue. She offered to help as well as offered me coupons! Savings you say? Absolutely! I asked about the product I was curious about and she explained that while she had not used them personally, they were a popular purchase. We talked about some other items in the store as well and I was pleased at the customer service offered by her! She was comfortable assisting me in Spanish and English too! A great store to visit if you need home good items while in Barcelona.

Today I took back a simple spanner that was about 3mm too small for the purpose I had purchased it for; I had a purchase receipt so I went to return it to change for a larger spanner. The 'reception' area on the left at entry point were very polite, told me to take it back to Planta 5 where I could change it. Different story when I got there; I have never been treated with such arrogance and deference: because I'd cut off the plastic tag (to use it for the intended purpose, note), I was given a very arrogant brush-off. Once bitten twice shy; I'll never shop there again: my advice is to buy online where it's cheaper and you don't get insulted and treated like sh*t!

Kind of like an Ace Hardware and a Target had a baby but nixed clothing and food. They make keys, they have paint, they have seasonal items, and it is well staffed and centrally located. We got everything from a beautiful wood side table and vintage metal toys to a few artificial plants and a wine holder. We may go back tomorrow and get an area rug, too. The people were super nice and helpful - they even removed all the price tags for us! And best of all, the prices were great. We totally recommend it.
