Value for money not really there, and they say one thing, but in reality they do something else (in…read moremy opinion). I called for a marriage, I received the information how it works (according to them, the whole procedure - except for the wedding day - is done by email, form, documents, etc.) and they say that for the paid price + taxes, you have included in their package all the paperwork, the celebration, legal advice, other related services, blah, blah. Small question - if everything is done by email WHEN and HOW will I receive their legal advice?!!?!! On my wedding day?!!?!! Let's be serious, at that time we'll have something else in mind and something else to do ... I think we should discuss PERSONALLY with the notary BEFORE the wedding day for this kind of detail ... In reality, you are paying for a service that you will probably never receive. Maybe there are other problems too, but hey, once you get there, it's too late!!! Nothing to say, on the phone the girl was very friendly, but ... The room's decorations are correct, but no more, quite minimalist (the silver room reminds me of a tea saloon, with friends, and the large room, a train car, better decorated). Frankly, if you are not in a hurry, it's better to wait for the Courthouse, at least you have the right price, no more, no less ... I do not recommend this service.

This office never answers any phone calls. When you leave a message, they do get back to you the next day. Now After trying to reach the office for 3 days I finally left a message and they called me back the day after. They only take as payment a check for their services no credit cards , I truly felt I was doing business with an office in the 90's. (Same thing when you check out their obsolete website, 90's concept -) They said to start the services I needed to send a check by mail (No other form of payment is accepted - Why make it easy for the customer?) Their invoice by the Notary "Catherine Aspirault-Michaud" was sent on an Excel spreadsheet that I could edit, not even a PDF with a logo (so unprofessional). So to expedite my request to get the service started, I decided to bring in the check for payment on the Monday morning July 5th On Monday morning, I called 3 times to make sure somebody was there, and as usual no answer. So I decided to go deliver my payment and at 10h30AM, I notice the door is open and called the office. While I'm walking in I hear my cell wringing on their phone and the receptionist is walking towards to greet me. So I hang up. Now 3 associates are sitting on the desk and chatting with the receptionist. So I deposit my check. I'm told they are very busy because of Covid and I should get the answer of my "will search" with the Chamber of Notary and the Bareau du Quebec within 3 weeks maybe 4 weeks After 1 week, I email them and they tell me it's to soon to get an answer, After 3 weeks I email them again on Wednesday to be told that my notary is semi retired and she will get back to me August 23rd because the Notary "Catherine Aspirault-Michaud is on holiday for one month and nobody in the office can help me before Aug 23rs when she comes back. I mentioned to the secretary this is not acceptable and wanted to speak with an other Notary. They tell me the owner is on holiday and will be back in Mid September. The receptionist promised that another notary will call me back on Thursday and nobody ever called me back. That day, I asked if they had received any of the 2 documents I paid for and she said nothing has been received. I send them an email on July 27th to get an email back telling me that the notary Francine will be back on Aug 23rd. On Monday I call and again no answer and the voice message informs me that the office is closed up to Aug 23rd because of holidays. On that Monday Aug 2nd I called the Bareau du Quebec to be told the documents was delivered to them on July 17th. The Notary Chamber tells my document will be delivered within the next week (as they are protecting the notary office) . By law in Quebec a notary office cannot be closed more than 2 weeks. On Monday PM, Once I called the Notary Chamber, within a few hours of my call, the owner Mr. Steve Samson calls me and was unapologetic and pretty cold to inform me he had received both documents. In reality the Chamber of Notary sent document on Tuesday July 27th. And the Bareau du Quebec has sent them the document on July 17th. So by Thursday the 29th both documents had been delivered to their office and nobody bothered emailing me or calling me on the Friday to give me an update. There was no apology by Mr. Samson about the lack of professionalism with the office following up. It was the fault of Covid and his staff being on holiday and that I was dealing with a small business that could not really handle the workload they have -WOW - Plus the attitude by GIGI the Receptionist telling me that I needed to understand that my Notary was part time and could only follow-up with me on Aug 23rd. Finally the document was mailed to me and I got it on the Friday Aug 6th. So the whole process took 5 weeks. If I would not of been pro-active it would of taken 8 or 9 weeks. I truly would NEVER RECOMMEND the services of this office because of the attitude of the staff, lack of professionalism, and honestly it's a small business thinking it's my way or the highway because we are a small business. In the future I would use a larger established Notary offices that has their SH*T together.
