A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. I contacted them through Yelp and they replied promptly, the owner was friendly and came out within a few days to look at the work I wanted done and gave me a competitive estimate. The price was right by me and they came out on the date I needed them which was within a week of the estimate. I did come across a neighbor who witnessed it so he was not truthful at all. He knew what happened when he came to repair the ramp.
