The food was everything we had hoped it would be. I had the Chile Colorado pork plate which came with yummy Mexican rice, beans, and a "salad" (shredded lettuce, a tomato slice, and a couple slices of onion). My wife had the Chile Verde pork plate. Both were delicious. The only problem: the salsa was so good we went through four bowls of chips while downing a side of guacamole and three bowls of the mild, but flavorful, salsa. We were both stuffed! I ordered the homemade lemonade and she had the strawberry daqeri. Both were good but too sweet in my opinion. The place was quite busy on the Friday night on the particular holiday-weekend we ate there. In spite of the crowd we were still seated at a table within 10 minutes of showing up. Didn't feel like eating at the places by the freeway exit so ventured a couple miles into town and found this hole in the wall Mexican in the RV park. Pleasantly surprised. This is a very old log house about 2 miles off of the freeway at the entrance to an RV park. The entire kitchen staff is Maria, a fifty something lady of Mexican extraction. The wait staff are local Caucasian young women who aren't pros but do try. The food is surprisingly good for a place like this. We had the green chile burrito and the shredded beef taco's and a chicken enchilada. Lots of food. If you have to be in Beaver, there are worse places than this!! Give it a try. I was not in the mood for Mexican but we were all hungry and found this place through yelp. Because of good ratings decided to give it a try. So glad we did!! One of the BEST Mexican foods I have had since my last trip to cancun. This is true authentic Mexican food with great service. It really was a pleasant surprise. I'm from California but I will absolutely be back on my next visit. I highly recommend this place. It is located inside campground as soon as you drive in (wish I can remember campground name). Ok, two problems. First, the food - it was terrible. The place was cute and the service was good but it's the food that counts. My husband and I both had a chili relleno and enchilada; I couldn't finish either one. Second - no margarita!!!?? Ok so it's Utah, but no margaritas?! Real margaritas!!? Hate to give bad reviews but have to be honest the food is not good. My husband said his taco not terrible. I kept asking if ok to eat my enchiladas (in the few bites I got down) in fear they may make me sick. I ordered spinach enchiladas to try something different and they just tasted off. I thought maybe the spinach was a bad choice but tried my husbands cheese enchilada and same . Chips fine. Salsa hot and mild taste the same. Beans and rice taste like from cans or box . On the recommendation of a friend went here for dinner. Small place but the food was very good. Had a horchata (drink) that was brought out in a large ice frosted drink! Did a ski trip to Eagle Point and Brian Head, stayed in Beaver and this place was a great find. In a log cabin that has a Indian / Mexican flair. Casual, great food, excellent salsa, and unique. If I could give zero stars I would. The service was terrible. We walked in and we were the only people in the restaurant. It took forever for the server to finally come over to us and then when we ordered the food was disgusting. I had the enchiladas and they had no flavor. My husband had some disgusting looking tacos that were half cold. We left two full plates of food on the table and when we went to talk to the hostess, my husband said it wasn't good and she said it happens sometimes. Never offered to comp us or anything. Moved to Beaver 3 years ago and happened on this restaurant, there are not many in town. Had our anniversary dinner here and have gone back many many times over the years! Maria is the sweetest hard working cook I have ever met - she opened special for me and my 20+ friends to make my 3 favorite dishes for all of us (Machaca, Chicken Quesadilla and the Tacos de Carnitas) It was the BEST! Her homemade salsa and chips are one of the other reasons we continue to frequent this fun and authentic diner. Second time eating there not being impressed. The salsa and chips were good but that's it. I ordered the Maria's special, which was pork and cabbage over rice. Expecting some kind of Mexican flavor, which clearly was not, it was pork and cabbage in some kind of gravy with little to no taste. Log cabin restaurant. If you love tamales, you might want to think twice. She makes them VERY different. Open faced corn husks with just a slight swipe of masa on the bottom. Then topped with pork, green beans, peas, potatoes and onions. It tasted okay, but like an open faced pork stew, not a tamale. Tamales must be wrapped in Masa! And what's with the green beans, peas and potatoes? Yes, I would come back again and order something different. I went here with some friends who live in Beaver and was not too impressed overall. The building and atmosphere is great though, it's a quaint log cabin inside Beaver Canyon Campground. Cozy little restaurant inside with lots of decorations. The good impression ended when I tried the food, below average Mexican food, nothing was really that great. Some of it tasted a little stale. I couldn't finish my pork enchilada, it tasted too gamy. I ordered a margarita (non-alcoholic as they seem to not have a liquor licence) but barely finished that, it tasted syrupy and artificial. Service was average. I'm a little suspicious of all these reviews saying that this is the best Mexican food they've tasted. Maybe this is true for Utah, but you all need to try some authentically good Mexican first, then your perspective might change. read more

This is a very old campground--established in about 1950, I think--that hasn't been updated much at all. I happen to like rustic decor, but this place just looks shabby and run down overall. The facilities were clean enough, and the proprietors were clearly taking care of the grounds. Still, everything is obviously very outdated, and it was mostly permanent residents parked all the way around in older campers. The few overnight campsites in the center are quite narrow, but they are separated by an enclosed picnic tables which provide some privacy between campers. For the price of the Passport America discount, it was adequate for 1 or 2 nights, but I wouldn't make it a destination again unless the onsite restaurant was open. Unfortunately, we discovered that it had closed for the season the weekend before our arrival. Very disappointing since the website did not mention that it was already closed, and we were looking forward to eating there when we booked a site. read more
