To me, this is more than sad. It is unacceptable conduct on behalf of those involved in receiving calls for assistance - from any "public servant" in any capacity. Especially since those they "serve" pay their salaries!!!!! Law enforcement was developed to uphold the sacred CONSTITUTION of the United States of America - not withstanding the Preamble to the Constitution. Anybody read that lately? "...In order to form a more PERFECT union...establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, secure the blessings of liberty to OURSELVES and our posterity, do ORDAIN and establish this Constitution for the United States of America..." My Dad, an unsung, incredibly humble late critically injured U.S. Army foot soldier fought against EVIL, tyranny, injustice, genocide, and pure hate - all to allow us the freedoms (that only come from protecting them) that we now have...but I ask you...for how much longer??? How much longer will we be granted our freedoms (supposed to be protected by laws and it follows, law enforcement) if they are not reasonably enforced and protected??? How much longer? My encounter with a CHP officer this last summer was impressive. Simply impressive. He came to my…read morevehicle when prompted...listened intently... identified himself without hesitation when asked, and followed up on my hunch that a vehicle had just been stolen...which come to find out, my hunch was right on. Guess my years employed by another law enforcement agency paid off?! Fast forward to this evening, and last Monday at 0236 hours. Well, I'm just a little confused by the 'emergency alerts' when one is prompted at 0236 hours (in civilian time that's 2:30 a.m. - that's right - 2:30 a.m. in the morning!!!) We all damn near had heart failure when that shrill sound came through our phones making us jump out of our beds in the middle of deep sleep!! Who in their right mind would do such a thing? Do these folks (dispatchers I assume) have no clue that there are autistic, elderly, physically challenged, mentally challenged, and other people who have significant health issues like those with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, etc., that could be severely impacted by such a delirious and thoughtless thing to do? PUSH an alert at that hour? Do they? OMG! What the hell? After that 2:30 a.m. BLAST of emergency from the CHP, we couldn't go back to sleep! It was just horrible. Someone needs to talk to the individual who made that call...because in my humble opinion, it was the wrong one. Further, the "Silver" alert that came across today at 1900 hours (7:00 p.m.) was interesting, to say the least. Interesting because only 236 people viewed it by the time I did. It seemed odd to me that only 236 people had viewed that emergency "Silver" alert - but I think I may know why! BECAUSE "SILVER" means OLD! GODFORBID! An elderly (old) missing person?! WTF? So now the elderly - or old - are being LABELED BY THE CHP? WHY? I think that is also the wrong call. In this day and age, the elderly are (for the most part) treated like scum. This type of alert should simply be made as a "Missing Persons" alert, so more people will view the alert - increasing the odds, or chances, that the "missing person" could be located. What sad commentary for the elderly in our society, being imposed by the most respected law enforcement agency in town (once again, in my humble opinion).

And the music was 10/10! Loved the 80s and classics when they weren't being remixed in with repetitive yelling and banging on cells from less mentally stable inmates. Otherwise the most grimy and unsanitary establishment to ever exist. No soap, hand sanitizer, face masks, or signs of being cleaned in the last century. The bologna sandwich lunch still haunts me. No matter how hungry you are, please don't give in. Best to use it as a pillow to sleep with (learned that from my cell mates after the damage was already done). The most valuable thing I gained from this experience is an appreciation for the little things in life, including basic essentials and comforts that I definitely did not receive here XD but that we take for granted everyday. I hope if you ever get yourself into a pickle that you stay positive and kind and remember that it probably can be worse. The building is very well kept and has attractive landscaping. Inside is a small lobby and a desk protected by safety glass. The young man behind the counter wasn't able to give me the exact information I was looking for, however they did get me a phone number of who I could call and that worked out just fine. It's a quiet town and it was a quiet day so I didn't have to wait in line and didn't have to wait to get help. In and out and it was a quick and easy visit. Very happy with their service.
