Skinner neglected the problem & her shops merchandise was destroyed & building molded up. Tenant demanded her rent money back for loss of several weeks. They decided to evict her. Lawsuit is now active against Skinner Realty. Shady business practices will sink your business. Unfortunately she's not the only tenant with complaints. I wouldn't rent a tent from these people! Check your references before you rent from anyone!

We had often heard advertisements for a Real estate agent by the name of Chip Hodgkins. Glenn always said that Chip could sell a house for what we were asking in a timely manner or else he would buy the house himself. We just figured that there was some sort of "catch", and didn't really give it a second thought. Whenever we tried to sell a car or do business with anybody, it seemed like there was always a "catch", so it kind of went in one ear and out the other. Regardless, Glenn Beck planted the seed which remained in both of our heads. In late 2024 we started seriously considering selling our house and moving. We looked into a real estate agent that was related to a friend & she came over to assess the house. Our house was almost 60 years old in disrepair and falling apart, but the only thing the agent seemed to focus on was the smell of cigarette smoke. She was pretty rude about it, and kept telling us that the smell alone was going to devalue the house by over $20,000. Things felt hopeless for us as we thanked her for her time and decided not to go with her services. We were both in complete despair. Sometime in late February of 2025, we decided to call Chip Hodgkins. A few days later, on February 26th, we met with Chip. He came over to try and help us out. He was well prepared with papers showing homes similar to ours in location and size, including the values and what they sold for. With a positive attitude and total confidence he pointed out all of the good aspects of our home and for the first time in years we had been given something that you can't put a price on. He gave us hope and piece of mind. We were very surprised to find that our house was valued much higher than we had been told by the previous real estate agent. Yet there were still lingering questions. "Were do we start?" I asked. "We would need a dumpster to get rid of over 50 years of accumulated junk." "I know a guy", he responded. And right there, only 20 minutes into the meeting, he made a call to somebody who owned a dumpster business. Chip asked the gentleman if he could stop over to assess the situation and give us an estimate of how much it would cost for a dumpster. The man arrived, then took a walk though the house and around the property. Once back inside, he took a moment and told us that his guys could not only handle the removal of junk, but also help with packing up a shipping container for the move if we needed it. Then he paused for a moment, and asked how much we were looking to get for the house. Chip told him our asking price and said, "What are you thinking?" to which he replied, "Let me take another look at a few things." He checked out the crawlspace and a few other things, pointed out some things that were wrong with the house that we didn't even realize, but reassured us that they could be easily remedied, and that his guys could even fix them. He stood there in thought again for a couple of minutes, then told us that he had bought a few properties so far, renovated and resold them. He had the resources to do it. Chip asked if he was interested and without hesitation the man nodded his head and said yes. My mom and I just sort of looked at each other in wonder. "What just happened?" I asked. With a smile on his face, Chip extended his hand and said to us, "Congratulations. Your house is sold." One thing I almost forgot to mention. The gentleman who bought our house told us we didn't have to worry about paying to have our junk taken away. All we had to do is pack up what we wanted to keep and he would take care of the rest. With a handshake and a smile it was done. All of this happened within an hour and a half. The next day Chip had all of the paperwork, and even found us an attorney to help with the sale. Chip Hodgkins has made multi-million dollar deals, but he didn't even make more than a few thousand dollars on the closing costs of our home. He didn't sell our home to money. He was there to help us, and did so with honor and integrity. Honorable reputation and Christian values is what Chip is all about. By March 31st our moving truck was packed up and we said goodbye to our old home. A check was delivered to us by April 4th and it was for far much more than we had ever expected. I don't know how to properly thank Chip for helping us sell our house, but I will be forever grateful, and I'll never in my life forget the four words he said. "I know a guy"

Here again for ANOTHER REVIEW. This company sent me to debt collectors YEARS later claiming I…read moredidn't pay multiple months worth of rent when I in fact did. I never trusted them in the first place and kept screens shots of my online payments. I finally got ahold of bank records proving I completed all monthly payments. Rent was cheap, and maintenance and quality of unit was horrible. Highly recommend NOT paying your last month of rent because they will not give you back your deposit. EVEN if you clean the hell out of the apartment and you leave it cleaner and looking better with NEW furniture left behind- still no deposit returned LOL. Someone needs to shut this company down.

I rented from TJ MG properties. i had the misfortune of having to renew on a 6 month beacuse i had…read moreplans fall through on me. so a year and a half is plenty of time to find out everything that was wrong in this palce. In the lease, they say the property is pest free. They do not provide any proof. Nothing from pest company about the last time that it was checked and verified to be pest free. I guess you're supposed to take their word for it. I found this to not be true. Roaches ) February 2017 my bedroom ceiling was leakng, and then it caved in, after a patch job, it caved in again. The structural integrity of the basement foundation seems to be compromised. Every time it rains a stream of water and some worms flows through the laundry room and basement area. The walls of the basement area are covered with mold. The living room window leaks. Wasps get in through the living room window and the bedroom window. The front door and the Windows are old so there is a very strong draft. There's a major problem with the electricity throughout that place as well. I had to call code enforcement to get some of these things fixed by professionals. If you have any problems like this and you have exhausted your other options like calling your rental office directly, every county has a code enforcement. You can look up the number online. (Fayetteville code enforcement 315 637 9864) These problems were from dec 2016, legitament electricians fixed the hall light on June 9, 2017, the roof was fixed by legitament roofers on August 8, 2017. These problems were there long before I moved in. Which proves TJMG properties are not well-maintained. The hole remained in my bedroom ceiling until I moved out. January 15, 2018 my living room ceiling started to leak. As for the hired help.. maintenance incompetent. The only thing these people ever did was give me $75 off my rent once. The rent was almost a grand for that place, which without any issues would be acceptable. However, with all the problems that place has that I got to experience, that rent is far too high. You can hear everything outside through those walls. I left that place spotless. They kept $425 dollars of my deposit money. With lies written on the paper they sent me. (hole in closet door) THERE WAS NO SUCH HOLE. I have video. The only thing that was my responsibility was a small hole in the carpet my dog scratched up. Not $425 worth of damage. You can make the place look nice, like I tried to, however if a property is not well maintained, it makes for a horrible place to live, it doesn't matter where its located. I have concluded that TJMG properties sole interest is money. If you care about your quality of life, I would not recommend renting from TJ MG. And I am a real person who really had the misfortune of living in this place so please don't respond with a joke or funny quip like you have to some of these other people who have written reviews. I dont find it funny. Dont try to say everyone did there best to resolve these issues bescaue that is 100% not true. I have timeline pictures and recorded video to prove everything I've said. I tried to keep this as short as I could, there was just so much. I actually had to edit out some. Excuse any grammatical errors.
