A little hidden paradise in P.B.C! Central location, well maintained grounds, and amazing amenities! The property management team (Property manager:Tony; team-Libby and Raymond) are all VERY kind, yet professional and serious about keeping this complex a quiet peaceful respectful home-style environment, altho they also know how to throw amazing tasteful community parties and gatherings to help bring neighbors together. They bring food trucks from time to time, bands, DJ's, pot luck or provided foods, raffles, games, etc on special holidays such as 4th of July (and others) to encourage joyful/neighborly mingling. The maintenance team (Alex & Hector) are also incredibly proactive, courteous, and have maintenance issues addressed almost always same day - if not usually within 2-3 hours from when reported. Its a clean dog friendly community with a doggie park, dog sitting services available, and lots of love, hugs, and treats given to all pups who stop by to say hello to the management team. In fact, it is a known funny fact that most pets try hard to lead their owners over to the office on every walk/outing. Most neighbors respectfully stay alert to community watch in an attempt to keep a respectful, tasteful, loving, peaceful, environment. In fact, sadly for the community - most long term tenants dont even want to provide/post reviews to actually KEEP it a little HIDDEN gem! Its been 5 amazing years in this little hidden paradise and I too hesitated many times, to post a review, from selfish intents to keep it hidden, until I noticed that it is needed since its usually only complainers that post. read more

I was very excited to look at some units in Marina Key. I have been before, and since seeing them the first time, and because of the excellent customer experience, I always wanted to go back. Finally I convinced my husband to take a look at them just a few days ago while I was at work, and he loved them as well. We met up a couple days later to look together this time, and that's when my whole opinion of the place changed. I am so disappointed in the way our leasing agent changed my thoughts of Marina Key. Her name is Amy. She is so unpleasant. I do not know how she is in any type of customer service employment. I wanted to see all of the available floor plans so I knew which unit to choose. We could afford any of them, but we didn't announce that to Amy. After she showed me the 2 units her and my husband looked at a few days prior, I asked about others. I thought she may be able to pull up a map and highlight the vacant units and tell me the different layouts and where they were in the community so I could choose a few more to check out. But I found that asking Amy to look at anything more than what she had already shown us, was seriously going to ruin her day. She was bothered at my every question, she was short answered with very little info about any other unit, even though I would find out that there were many awesome floor plans I had no idea existed, but she blew them off when they were more expensive than what we initially said our price range was. I cant remember the last time I told myself to only spend x amount of money, but ended up tripling that number, especially if I have great customer service helping me do so. Anyhow, we still like the community, but I refuse to move in, and lease from Marina Key if that is a glimpse of the "care" the staff has for their tenants. read more

LATE FEES If you love getting charged a $150 for being stranded out of town during a hurricane then you will love it at Marina Key. The property manager Toni Cowan could care less about being in a state of emergency or being stuck out of town for 4 days around the 1st. BTW you cant pay them unless you pay the entire late fee, they will not take a dollar less Hurricane, State of Emergency, Toni and Carroll Management only cares about their FEES not the residents. Recommend checking into a Motel-No-Tell before trying this place. You pay premium prices for the worst service EVER. We are in a 2nd Floor waterfront paying a very high price and they can't even keep the elevator working. They have NO concern for people to disabilities and complaints to the Corp. customer service get you no where. I can't wait to leave. Nice property, but the management is horrible!!!! read more

I have lived here for almost 2 years. They welcomed me with a nonaggressive dog, a Great Dane, who needed a place to live out his life. They fully supported anyone who had complaints about maintenance or other dogs. Issues were immediately addressed. There are several designations of "good pet owners", and not all apply. This is an owner's deficiency. Learn to train your dogs, and complaints wouldn't happen. This holds true with your children and your habits, not Marina Key. No complaints here, and Thank God for this facility. Please follow the RULES with parking. This is the only issue I have, and again, it comes back to the residents for allowing their guests to take others spots for their convenience. I have lived here for nearly two years and have zero complaints. Gorgeous property! The grounds are well kept. As a young professional this is a perfect central location and it's right on the water! I lived here for four months last year. The staff does nothing for you. I tried to get the pool keys exchanged, because mine was not working, I was told they could not do it that day because they were busy. I asked how about the next day, then they said " we will be very busy because it is beginning of the month and we have a lot of checks to go through" I had a mold problem in the unit, they moved me to another unit temporary, and they moved me back, assuring that the problem was taken care of. then I move back, 2 weeks later, my wall and ceiling was pitch black! I called them and had no response for 2 weeks, I called 2-3 other times yelling at them, but the manager was always unavailable, I was promised that she will call back, she never did. when you go into the office, her office door was always closed and locked so I could never see her, and when I talk to other associates, the answers were always , " the manager will be in touch with you" two days later, I get a call from the associate from the office, and she says " we will be taking care of your mold today. the contractor will come to your unit shortly and install new drywall unit" I said " drywall?I have all my things here and I need more advance notice. dry wall installation is a major construction." she replied " I don't know, you can ask them when they get there" I am a single girl in my twenties, I have no background in construction, but to break into drywall, you want to move your staff out of way. and for the staff member of Mariner's key to make such a ignorant call was beyond unprofessional. when the contractor came, they confirmed that my unit was the 7th to come to that day regarding the mold issue. I emailed the corporate, saying I have already moved twice, and I am not moving two more times. please let me break my contract. after 2 more long weeks inhaling very unhealthy air, I finally got a call from the manager, after a real estate attorney wrote/ called on my behalf, they offered one month free rent, I said no thank you I just want to move, so we agreed on my breaking the lease without any penalty. after a month of moving out, I finally received the move out statement, and according to it, I moved on 2/7, but they put 2/17 so they can charge 10 days of extra rent. I sent a certified letter claiming that was not true, and I also called them. after 2 more months after that and many many phone calls and emails to the office and to the cooporate, which m most of the time went completely ignored, I finally got my security deposit in full. I now own and am very happy I do not have to deal with management company so unorganized. not sure if they have their act together now, but from my experience from last year with them was absolutely horrible read more

Like the others I'm not a happy resident. Been here 1 1/2 yrs only because I can't get out of my lease. After numerous attempts at resolution none of my issues are being resolved by management and when I bring anything up they get nasty with attitude. 1. Who is Carroll..??? She responds to these reviews but is not part of Marina Key. Is she Carroll Management? The useless management company? 2. This is a non smoking property - we ALL signed a lease contract for it! But I can't open my doors and windows without smoke bombarding my unit. As a 2 time cancer survivor this is not cool but they could care less because it's about the almighty dollar! I've complained no less than 4 times but they let people smoke on balconies so I'm screwed. 3. I agree with previous reviewer... I see restricted dog breeds on the property. I didn't think they were allowed. 4. The elevators are out of inspection so I was madder than an old wet hen when I got stuck in one and had to call fire department AND police to get me out. It is still out of inspection today several months later after I complained to Management. 5. My apartment stinks like cigarettes and dead animal not to mention the hazard signs posted on the unit near me one day which I have pics to prove something is wrong here. I'm not sure if it's mold, smoke, dirty carpet they refused to replace when I moved in or what (I moved from out of town so didn't have a chance to fight them about it prior to move in & now I'm stuck with it). 6. I've contacted Arium, the owner, by phone and email and they will not return my calls. The place is beautiful outside but it's just lipstick on a pig, window dressing. I can't get out of here fast enough when my lease is up. read more

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The leasing office does not care about its residents. It clearly states in the lease that aggressive dogs are not allowed in the community. Numerous dogs have been attacked, including mine and my friend's dog. Management does nothing. Numerous complaints have been placed about rude neighbors and the aggressive dogs, but the management does nothing. 99% of the time, they don't even answer the phone or emails, and when we leave a message, they never respond. They also keep increasing the rent but do nothing to better the community. Half of the lights on the walkways are not functional, the other half have screws or wires hanging out that can cause serious injury. The hot tub at the pool is constantly broken. The gym is outdated. But instead of fixing the things that need to be fixed, they replace the sconces on the wall by the apartments that did not need to be replaced. Management is rude and only cares about taking your money and not helping their tenants. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB about them. Hopefully something will be done. read more
