Just recently I had a flight very early in the morning. Very very early! At 6:55 to be precise. But…read morethere are no buses or trains going from Salou to Barcelona at that time of the day. So I obviously had to go by car. I checked the airport car park prices and almost got sick: 72 hours parking would have been more expensive than the flight itself! No way. I luckily found an advert / weblink for a private car park close by to the airport. Open 24/7, 365 days a year. And the prices were much more human. I booked online, they need to know at what time youll approximately arrive and for how many days youll stay. No pre-payment needed. And the best part is: they provide a shuttle service directly o the airport, Terminal 1. And you either can chose between a covered parking with security or uncovered. So off I went very, very early in the morning and was a bit afraid that I would not find the place straight away. But he website really explained it well and either though I was still sleepy I did arrive at 5am. I parked and went to the "reception" (nothing fancy, a desk, Computers, etc). A friendly man came right up to me and asked me if he could help with my luggage and brought it to the shuttle bus. I dropped off my keys and were given a receipt and a proper description on how to find the transport on the way back. I thought we might wait a while for some more passengers before we head off to the airport. But no, just me and my bag were driven quickly to the final destination. The trip takes about 10 minutes and it was so so convenient being dropped of right at the terminal. The driver was chatty and polite and I must say: I was not feeling uncomfortable being the only female in the middle of the night at a strange place with strange men. The transport is always waiting at arrival, leaving every 15 minutes. I arrived late at night but this time there were actually some people with me in the van going back to fetch their cars. You have to pay at the check-out desk and your keys will be returned. So easy, so simple, so friendly, so quick, so cheap and so close to Barcelona airport! There is NO reason to spend double amount of money for the same service. Ill definitely use their parking lot again.

I tried to speak with a guy that was there at the moment and he said that I was supposed to call another number on Monday morning. I made this call and I've been told that is a problem of mine because their insurance doesn't cover this kind of damages made by third parties... At the end this parking spot for 2 days will cost to me something like 1500 € instead of 50 €. Absolutely disappointed, if you are going to travel in barcellona with your car I would not recommend you to park here unless you have a kasko insurance.
