I called the day before to reserve an overnight slip and they helped me out. About $60 for my 42 foot sailboat. They have 30 and 50 amp power, on site pool, bathrooms, showers, and there is a restaurant and a bar next to the dock (not run by the marina, but full of folks from the marina.) No fuel dock here, but there is one across the river. The channel is a little narrow so be sure to follow the markers - turn off the Okeechobee Water Way at marker 52 and follow the private markers. This place was full of really nice people and several of them came out to help me get my boat into the slip (it was windy and I was having trouble lining it up right.) Tyrone was the man on the spot and took care of me, catching my dock lines, hauling me in, and showing me around the marina. I would like to come back here when I'm not exhausted or in a hurry so I could hang out with the locals at the tiki bar. Everyone was laid back and very welcoming. read more

Nice, sheltered marina, we went through Hurricane Irma here and only wound up with some palm fronds on the deck. Also, unlike many other Florida marinas' policies, they DID NOT ask us to remove our boat when a Cat 4 hurricane was bearing down on us! That's worth a little "laid-backedness" among staffers... besides, every time I go there I see Scotty in his golf cart scooting around doing marina stuff. He used to stay quite late when the Irish bar was open, we'd see him when we played Irish sessions in TP Hoolihan's (about to reopen -- this month? -- as the Anchor In Grill). It's a great idea to have a liveaboard or someone who lives in the apartments adjacent to the marina as a dock employee, because even if they are not obviously keeping an eye on the place, they are keeping an eye on the place -- because they have to live there, too. read more
