They do NOT post the fuel which I completely understand. In the end I ended saving about 30% by not having to pay around £10 postage had i ordered it online from another supplier! check out the "crazy people" page,it lists funny requests from customers who are clueless about the hobby.

Upstairs has canvas', professional paints, brushes, fabric, wool etc. I often go here to get supplies for my work as I work therapeutically with children and they have lots of little reasonably priced things for kids to decorate.. I also love just walking about and being inspired by what's around me..

The guys inside are enthusiastic about their hobbies which include model railways and scaled buildings. I find the doll's houses with the miniature furniture a bit creepy and perplexing, but there must be people out there who are into it. They also sell model planes and cars in all their intricate parts along with glue, paints and DIY intstructions. None of this is really up my street, but I can understand the attraction to creating something detailed and impressive from scratch. It's all quite expensive, but you're paying the quality and the realism of the products. I doubt I'll be back here, but if you're into this stuff then it'll be a great place to meet like-minded people.

I then went again more recently to find a model of my boyfriend's 1984 Mercedes 200 123. Which they didn't have, but it gave me the opportunity to browse the range of tiny little models that opened my eyes to a world of craftsmanship I didn't even know existed. Trains, cars, boats, planes, all perfectly scaled down. Wonderful. They do have an online shop, but where's the fun of that? The internet certainly doesn't take me back to my childhood, but tiny figurines do, also falling out of trees takes me back but that's nothing to do with anything.

The store is set out in a real child friendly way, with most toys set out on low shelves so children can see what is on offer. Now you won't get the same kind of selection of toys in Jack in the Box as you would in Toys R Us, but then again, you won't get anything like the service you get in Jack in the Box at Toys R Us. So there's payback for everything I suppose! The staff are truly knowledgeable about the products they sell and while some items are more expensive than supermarkets and other chains, some are not, so don't believe the myth that independent toy stores are more expensive! My daughter absolutely loves this store and her favourite part is the pocket money shelves. This area is close to the till and offers an array of cheap and cheerful toys for her to spend a few pence on including super bouncing balls, mini telescopes and novelty pens. There's also a selection of joke products and tricks such as Whoopee Cushions! If you are in East Kilbride with children, I highly recommend you pop into this store!

The toy shop is bright and has a few different types of toys including some wooden toys which i always feel although they can be expensive they can last longer than some of the plastic toys that are on the market at the moment. This toy shop is located in the centre down near the job centre you wouldn't see it normally if you didn't know east kilbride shopping centre as it is set slightly further down than the main walkway but it is definately worth looking out for. The staff are friendly and this i feel is imperative when dealing in a shop mainly aimed at children. The prices do vary though its not all cheap considering the deals you can get on toys else where such as the supermarkets but you never know what you might find in here so go see!

If you don't know already, the Games Workshop (or GW) is a UK based retailer which sells their own line of war-gaming miniatures across several table top based games collectively known as "Warhammer". In short Warhammer is a fantasy/sci-fi battle game in which the collector buys models, constructs and paints those models, puts together armies and plays an opponent in what amounts to very complicated Chess with a lot of luck thrown in. Sound overly complex or just weird? Not if you're basically ten years old at heart. One reason for writing a review for this GW is that I believe it's a great place for getting "the hobby" started. Every GW offers starter games to people who are starting to collect or are just simply interested. I have witnessed several games here and the staff seem particularly good at teaching the rules simply and emphasising the core of the game (particularly to younger players). In general the staff are really chatty and helpful. My collecting of Warhammer has been a bit on and off over the past couple of years due to the financial burden, but the staff are always eager to catch me up on the latest news. Some GW can come across as a bit overbearing, with local players always camped there and staff protective over their little club. This GW has never seemed like that and I am always comfortable walking in and asking questions or just browsing. It's also a great location, smack back in the middle of the Royal Mile. The stock is more or less the same as in other GW, with the various major games including popular The Lord of the Rings battle game. Having said this I seem to have been especially lucky in this shop in finding what I have been looking for. A great Games Worksop with helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere. Good for those already into the hobby, those just starting out or those even remotely interested.

Great products sold here, pretty much everything you can imagine will be in the Argos catologue, and at competitive prices too. If you see something in the catologue you can't carry home or fit in your car then they will deliver it direct to your doorstep, what more can you ask for? They also offer great warranty prices which are great, especially for expensive electronic devices. Can't really fault Argos, great stock, reliable and the staff are always helpful here!

You can't take your car out before 1pm either. It's very busy and a range of things will sell. Take lots of change and plastic bags! I wanted to write the review to say to be careful too: we were given a fake £20 and didn't notice til we were counting up the float (more fool us). I think this is unusual, but as a vendor it's probably better to be more wary.

Greenside Car Boot sale is huge!…read more There's space for literally hundreds of cars and there is always something for everybody on sale there. As a car boot seller, it's very good as it's always busy. Leaving the car park after the sale is a mission though. Be prepared to wait a while because it's every man for himself when trying to leave your space!

It also stocked a few baby toys from the play mats to rattles etc. There was also a good range of boys toys, some paints and musical instruments. Being a small store the selection of books is limited. The staff are friendly and know their products so ask them if you need assistance. I was impressed with the service I received.
