We absolutely loved Mario's while staying in Niagara Falls. We dined here twice while on our trip (usually against our rules unless it leaves a lasting impression on us!) Mario's is a cute little spot you may dine in or carry out, located on one of the main drags in Niagara. My boys and I were just looking for someplace to eat down here in Niagara Falls before my son went back to Canada. We decided on pizza. My son Jeremy went in and got what was already made and just sitting there waiting and said it was OK but nothing great. I went in and asked if they had any pepperoni pizza and there was one in the oven so I had to wait for that one to get out. It was nice, hot and fresh. It was a huge slice of pizza for about $4.30 maybe ? I didn't check the price I didn't really care I just was starving. Lol. So I got two slices of pizza and I really enjoyed it. I like the sauce, the cheese, and the pepperoni was a little spicy pepperonis, which was yummy. We had a whole bunch of pizza pies already done all different ones inside the cabinet. The employee had a bit of an attitude, but it was hot, and the place was busy, and it was hard for them to keep up with their pizza. They were tables and chairs inside, and then a bunch of tables and chairs outside. It was so beautiful outside that we just sat out and ate. I really liked it and I would definitely go back. Their menus upon the walls were clear and easy to read. The cabinet where the pizza was, was all lit up and easy to see what was inside and what was on each of the pizzas. It's tough living in NYC and having to review pizza outside of the area... Marios has an efficient staff, indoor seating, outdoor seating, but...not the best pizza. Sauce and crust weren't the best. Pizza itself may be 4-5/10 but the prices were also higher than expected. I understand this is a tourst area, so the prices will be higher...but $12 for two slices and a 20oz. soda....definitely not worth it in my opinion. I know buying by the slice may not be the best...maybe others may have better luck with buying a fresh pie. read more

Affordable pizza near Niagara Falls. It wasn't amazing but it was also not bad. The price was reasonable, but no wow factor. I really did like that the slices were big. The New York style pizza was super flavorful! There are some types of slices, but the more interesting pizza toppings are only available on their larger pies (meant for 2-3 people). Just wanted a quick bite so a slice is what i was cravin. Went here and was not disappointed. Ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The slices were huge as I could barely finish mine and at the same time so good I wanted more. If I had more time in Niagara Falls I definitely would have had another meal there! We were expecting typical tourist-trap food (overpriced and tasteless) but were absolutely delighted in our experience. We ordered a basil pesto and sun dried tomato pizza which arrived piping hot and delicious. We dined outside and the waitress even brought a bowl of water for our dogs. Well, it's not that we didn't recognize we were in a tourist trap block right by the entrance to the state park: the street's something of a pedestrian mall. And I won't deny that the slices we got were good pizza. But two slices of pepperoni and a single bottle of Diet Coke cost us $13, which is a ripoff by any stretch. (Could be worse. Indoor space is small but they have outside seating as well. They do tend to sell out by the time dinner hits so my advice is get there for lunch. read more

Seriously one of the top pizza places I've ever eaten at! Mario is a super great guy got a chance to meet him when I was there. He takes his business serious and it shows. The ingredients and the love he puts into each pie. This is a tourist trap area restaurant but it is so much more than the BS that is near by. This is a block from the US side of the falls. This is the first time my wife ever had a New York style pizza and she loved it. My wife is from California I am from New Jersey believe me I know what I'm talking about. She may not, but she did after this trip. We ended up getting a couple cheese slices and a couple of pepperoni slices. This is a fantastic stop if you're going to the Niagara Falls on the US side. This does for the belly, what the water falls did for my eyes. Mario, please keep the quality high as good food like this only comes from love of your craft. The pizza was actually pretty tasty...or maybe I was just really hungry. My family and I came here after a day of walking around Niagara Falls. Since we ordered a whole pizza, we had to wait about 30 minutes before we actually got it. The pizza was great, but I do wish that the crust was a little harder. When pulling a slice of the pizza out, since it was still hot, a lot of the toppings slid right off. lol The sauce, toppings and of course the cheese were all great. I would go back if I was in the area, but I would probably let the pizza cool down a bit before grabbing a slice and hope that the toppings stay in place. Pizza slices were pretty good. I had vegetable and a pepperoni. My daughter went with the vegan. They don't have vegan slices, you have to order a whole pie. So if you want a smaller portion you have to get vegan on gluten free crust. It was so so. I'm giving them 3 stars because I really wanted buffalo wings with my pizza. They don't sell them here. I drove all the way from southern Indiana and really wanted wings the entire way and all I got was NY style pizza. I'm going to NY in 2 days. I can get better pizza there. The last time I was in New York, I didn't get a chance to get a slice. I knew I had to this time and Mario's was located close to Niagara Falls State Park. There were three options for individual slices: cheese, pepperoni, and vegetarian. I went with vegetarian ($4). It was a filling slice. This is some solid, quality, New York pizza. Just a 3 minute walk from the hotel I am staying at (as well as a lot of the city) Mario's was the perfect dinner for our stop in Niagara Falls. I was looking for some vegan food, and I was able to get a delicious Primavera pizza (peppers, onion, black olives, mushrooms, Daiya cheese) and I am so glad that I did! I walked down after calling in a take out order and it was ready in about 18 minutes. This pizza is huge! Definitely enough to feed 3 people, possibly even 4. We purchased a whole pie with cheese for our family and asked about purchasing a slice or smaller pie for our son who is vegan. We were told we'd have to purchase a full 18 inch pie. We were able to grab two huuuuuge slices from here and pop for pretty cheap. Enough to tide us over until dinner. Big, cheesy, and quick. Pepperoni filled with oil. Chewy, soft, good crust.
