I want to.......REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, want to find somewhere in Nogales that I can drop a five star rating on. Instead, all I get are these crash-and-burn-run-down-sinkholes that apparently would rather steal a star and settle with that.
Such is the case at Mariscos 7 Mares.
I am quite ashamed to admit that I once enjoyed eating there. The place is run down. At first I thought the fishing nets hung about the ceiling were a mock-attempt at decoration..... 'til I noticed how the ceiling tiles were feverishly trying to liberate themselves....must be to catch them to prevent them from taking out a customer. ... Speaking of customer, the service there has become beyond reprehensive. The prices are now outrageous as the quality of the food is now synonymous with freezer burn or, as my daughter disdained, "YUCK!"
I paid my tab....very begrudgingly, am never going back....
