All the food was delicious and plentiful! The siete mares was full of shrimp and octopus and clams and fish and very delicious. The tacos were very tasty and the batter was just right! The stuffed chiles were awesome! First time I have eaten them stuffed with cheese! They were scrumptious and highly recommend as an appetizer!. The shrimp cocktail and ceviche had plenty of fresh shrimp and the sauces were good. Our waitress and waiter were super friendly and very servant. The food is alright but I honestly really hate the tortillas they use, if you are planning to eat there then it's ok but if it's takeout then you'll probably get home to hard tortillas. The service is awesome though they offer curbside and that is super convenient, why not everyone has this is beyond me. The service was fast, the "fresh" seafood did not taste very fresh. The shrimp tasted over cooked and the octopus was chewy. My partner ordered a mixed order and the scallops were still frozen, we told the server about it and she said according to their "health regulations" they had to be served frozen. They did not want to take it off the bill so we ended up paying about 20 for a singular item that we could not even eat. Everything overall tasted old and thawed out. Excellent seafood with very reasonable prices. Had the quesadilla with shrimp and octopus and the Special Soup with the same. Both were excellent with regards to the flavors and amount. Spouse had tacos that were excellent. Side sauces were flavorful and unique. Hard to find octopus normally where I'm from, so it was a treat. read more

A very typical Mexican outdoor covered dining area - it's hard not to think that you are in interior Mexico! Although you can get some meat tacos and such, they specialize in seafood dishes - we've had ceviche and seafood caldo, and both were delightful. Next time, I'll try the shrimp aguachilie and pulpo cocktail. They're fine with you bringing your own beer or wine. I learned today that their hours have changed to 9am to 11pm, Mon -Sat, and on Sun they close early at 5pm. read more

I loved this place! So glad I found it on yelp. Was super easy to get to. An older neighborhood. This restaurant is in the yard of a home. It has been there for many years. OK, I'm a snowbird gringo. My husband and I drove to San Luis thinking we might go over the border - much too busy so decided to have lunch in SL. Thank goodness for Yelp and Google maps. Although there were very few reviews, we decided on this place and was very pleasantly surprised. Patio seating only plus clean restrooms. The shrimp and fish tacos were delicious as was the chili rellenos - pretty authentic according to my husband who has traveled in Mexico much more than I have. Anyway, a hidden gem in SL.
