My mother is 101years old. We have been dealing with Lachance & co. For over 20 years. Our experience has been terrific. The audio testing and reports were excellent done. Over the years they were able to get and repair the hearing aids at no charge. When it came time to fit the hearing aids the technician was extremely patient and kind. Recently, we have had a problem with one of her hearing aids and luckily we were able to fix them within a week and there was no charge. As I stated before mother is 101. Some surprising news from my visit to the Mark Lachance clinic yesterday after almost a two week wait for an appointment. Met with a fine audiologist and ran the test before meeting Celine Lachance. As we started to chat her attitude seemed very cold. She looked at my recent test and two previous audio tests on her computer before pronouncing on them And her opinion. She decided she would not work with me in regards to my hearing aids claiming that they were inappropriate for my condition. Besides, I'd bought them somewhere else. She looked at them, hardly touching them and tried to usher me out of her office as quickly as possible. I kept asking why and she refused to give me a straight answer as she stood up to get me to leave. I mentioned the fact that I'd just paid 100$ to the audiologist not knowing in advance of her rude dismissal. Without a word, she left her office and returned with a 100$ in cash, threw it on the table and asked me to leave. I gathered my things, the recharger and hearing aids and left, The whole experience left me dumb-founded, stumped and disappointed. It seemed totally unprofessional and dehumanizing to me. In my seventy four years of life I have never been treated in this way by anybody but Celine Lachance. How could such a callous person be of any help to anybody in her profession? After I left I returned to get a copy of my test results which hadn't been given to me and I picked up a her business card. The final ironic twist came in reading the clinic' s motto on her expensively, finely printed card. At the bottom of the card it reads, " Where people come first." I have been a customer for many years and am very happy with the excellent care they gave me through the years; they are very accommodating and service me where ever my travel took me . They fully apply the definition of "Customer Care", it made me feel they were there for me when ever I needed help,they always agreed to come to my rescue. Hi, I have been going to this place for a very long time, and there has been many changes in staff. Many of the staff members have very poor attitude toward the client, lack professionalism, and are like bullies. Each time there is a problem with my hearing aid, they try to get rid of me. Every time I receive a new machine, they are not very patient, nor do they seem to understand my needs. When I tell them to make an adjustment, they get very uptight, like they want to get rid of you as soon as possible. Most of all, when I try to explain my issues, they look at me like I am from another planet. Their attitude is very bully-like, and not very welcoming. Once, I had a appointment to fix my device, and they are always trying to scare me with the cost to fix it but I kept telling them that its covered by Medicare. I feel like it gets them upset, and they do not want to waste time with you if they are not making any money from you, or if you take up too much of their time. Recently, I received a new device, so I am the one trying to get use it, and yet, they are the ones who are not being patient, and show no compassion at all. Basically, they just want you to adapt without bothering them with any visits to make any adjustments. They also try to convince me that there way is the best way. Another words, its there way or the highway! I always compare a visit like going to see a doctor. When you have a health issue, you can call the doctor and he will see you anytime , and try to understand you problem. At Mark & Lachance, they show no compassion for the client, and they just want you to do what they say. This comes from many years of experience with them, and they have given me so many unnecessary headaches. Once, I called and I told them that I need to make an adjustment, they start asking me the exact details of the problem, and before giving me a appointment, they need to consult the audioprotesist first. They made me wait on the phone, like I was nothing, which is very unprofessional. In conclusion, I certainly do not recommend this place. read more
