I waited in the lobby for 15 mins past my appointment time as I watched the lady whom I had an appointment with chat with her fellow associates and a food delivery person about Jamaican cuisine. Once she realized I was in the lobby she said I'm sorry had I known you were waiting while I was chatting I would have come to get you! I open the savings account sign papers and she said I could not do checking only savings for 90 days because I was a new member. I left with a receipt and paper work. Today is July 12th I couldn't wait till payday and I came to take out a bit of money until payday no where near the amount the They refused said I had to wait until Friday. Ummmm what? A cashiers check is as good as cash, I asked for a bank manager whom was very brash and said we have to verify that the funds are available because cashiers checks sometimes get returned wait what?? Said "manager" said that I could wait in the lobby until they verify the funds. I am now being told I have to wait one hour in this lobby before they can verify my cashiers check. As I'm waiting for the cashiers check to be verified which I was told will take over an hour the woman who opened my account confronts me about her telling me about the hold. I said we never had that conversation, I stood my ground and told her we talked about the time it would take to open a checking account but never was advised that there would be a hold on my funds. Mind you the amount I needed is pretty insignificant compared to my cashiers check. I truly think they are making me wait on purpose....Not only did this leave a terrible experience for customer service at CSE. I'm definitely looking for a new credit union.
