Mark helped me get my claim approved right away but a year after I'm being treated like I don't exist anymore. I did not approved for enough to live on. I have to work in order to have a car and a place to live. His office won't help me figure out how much I can earn and not lose my SSDI. The SS pamphlet for working on SSDI is confusing and the SS workers I speak with keep wanting to take away my SSDI payments because I'm now over 62 and can get a SS pension. read more

I hired this law firm for help I have been disable for years with medical records to prove even having DRS letters from both my DR and psychologist stating I was not able to work we go to court I had a remand hearing the judge just did what he wanted the attorney that was there did not push my case I got approved for SSI after paying years of social security payments I have no place to live no car very few clothes . I am not happy it will take over 2 to 3 years to get the back pay on SSI . I should have been approved for social security disability . I put my trust in this firm and when I question them why they said my work credits was not enough since I have not worked since 2019 Clovid time I ask to repeal they said be thankful take money and leave as is . I would not trust them to help me with a cut if I needed a bandaide the rid not do a good job asking question or pushing for me . I firmly believe if you don't do the best for your clients then don't represent them . they got paid me I will have no place to live or no thing waiting on SsI . I was hit very viciously by a reckless speeding driver. The Police Report pointed out the other driver was clearly at fault and he didn't deny it. So, open and shut case. I hired Mark Hurt to represent me as I was very banged up and have chronic physical problems that were exacerbated by the high impact. The injuries made me miss work which ultimately caused me to lose my job. I made it clear that once everyone involved was in agreement with the settlement to please get it done as soon as possible. Here I am 14 1/2 months later and the agreed upon settlement has not gotten to me or even my attorney for that matter. This doesn't pass the smell test and my family and I REALLY need this settlement money as a stop gap until I can find a new job. Because I am disabled I am very limited to the work that I can do now and it's taken me 7 month to finally find a job I start at the end of the week. Before I get into my review of Ms.Stephanie Pease of the Mark T. Hurt law firm, let me just give a little background information. On Halloween night of 2017 while traveling down to TN, a state trooper of VA nabbed me at an alleged 105 in 70. A whopping 35 mph over the speed limit and considered a class one misdemeanor in VA. After arriving at my destination I did some research online for Bristol, VA lawyers and came across Mark T. Hurt. After contacting this firm and hiring them, I was told Ms. Stephanie would be handling my case. After having my court date I am extremely please with her actions as a lawyer and the outcome. Not only did she ask what sounded like all the right questions, the ones you would imagine hearing on a tv show like law and order as this was my first time in court. But she convinced the judge to take evidence that usually he wouldn't accept, got my criminal charge knocked down to an traffic violation.
