The staff was receptive and courteous in the beginning but after a couple months there was a misstep by their office about filing paperwork. It felt like they had more clients than they could handle. It set off some miscommunication in email and that was the sudden end of it. The conversation was handed over to Jennifer and she was quickly defensive and dismissive. Her emails were harsh. She notified my ex's lawyer that she wasn't going to be representing me anymore and I started fielding his calls again. I'm sure trauma and abuse come up in a lot of cases for them. Details: I left a Living Trust inquiry via her site and Marizen emailed me back within 1 day to "text" her back for a scheduled over-the-phone consult. Upon further research, I realized Marizen was NOT a lawyer, but rather a "Legal Document Assistant (LDA)." According to the CA Attorney General, LDAs cannot give legal advice. This was my first encounter with an LDA, which allowed me the opportunity to do the necessary research to make a more educated investment. Had Marizen gotten back to me with the necessary next steps and questionnaire as she had promised (it's been over 1.5 weeks), I may have considered her as a possible option to complete my Living Trust needs. I do believe walmart called the police because the first thing the cops said was wear are you coming from and did you still anything? I said no. than they asked if i had been drinking today. I said yes. they did a breathalyzer and at first it was a .10 two minutes later it was .08. The officer insisted. I am a female and the males searched me and even took my breast enhancements out. They searched my car and I Xanax, kolonopin, clonidine suboxone and Zoloft. The cops insisted I get a blood test. but they knew that would be higher. it was almost double the legal limit..14. He got me out of almost all the fines and all i ha to do was a 12 hour class. He is going to expunge it off my record after the 6 week.
