Dr. Pledger and his staff were knowledgeable and courteous. They were my second opinion after first going to Dr. Phan for a wisdom tooth extraction consultation. Dr. Phan encouraged me to do full sedation and I believe there was a bone graphic as part of the procedure. My cost after insurance was going to be over $1600. After meeting Dr. Pledger, he mentioned that bone graphs are not recommended or necessary for standard wisdom tooth extractions, and local anesthetic is a perfectly fine option. My cost after insurance was under $300. I was very happy to do local anesthetic as it did not hurt and I was able to drive myself home right after the 20 or 30 minute operation. The car savings were significant and I'm glad Dr. Pledger talked me through the options so I could make a more informed decision versus being pushed into a specific (and more costly) treatment with my first consultation. read more

I want to start by saying, for the past 15 years or so I've had this mounting fear for anything dental related. This is obviously led me to put some things off that shouldn't have been. I was referred to Dr. Pledger by Dr. Hauser after my crown failed. I just had my oral surgery consultation and am feeling a whole lot better. The friendly and patient demeanor radiates here. Dr. Pledger and his staff went over everything with me thoroughly. Explaining how the treatment works and what to expect over the course of treatment. I have to be sedated to get anything done and his office had no hesitation working with me. I will add updates as my treatment progresses in the hopes that someone out there who is struggling to walk into the office will be more at ease and take back their health. Update 1: Had my oral surgery on Tuesday and already feeling so much better on Thursday. Of course still a little sore but nothing I can't handle. Dr. pledger called me the same evening of my surgery to ask how I was doing but I was already asleep LOL The procedure went so smooth, the pills I had taken the morning of really helped me relax! I've never had anything help me that much before. I didn't even mind the IV needle. I honestly can't express how smoothly it went. I went in for a consultation regarding extractions for dentures but also had a loose molar that was causing pain. Dr. Pledger said he would extract it during the same visit. He gave me four injections to numb area. Instead of giving the local anesthesia a chance to numb, he pulled the tooth. It hurt a lot. I have had teeth pulled by other dentists and they always have waited for the anesthesia to take effect. I definitely will not be returning for further extractions. Had a tooth that needed to be extracted and an implant post installed. Bone grafting material was placed at the time of extraction. Several visits along the way to make sure everything went right. Dr. Pledger took additional steps to map the tooth to garner a successful outcome. Tooth is now ready for crowning. Good self care instructions were provided along the way as well as follow up calls from Dr. Pledger the night of the extraction and the night of the implant post placement to make sure all was well. Dr. Pledger's dental assistants and front end staff are excellent; super helpful, and were great to work with. I had a molar extraction which I was dreading for months. Going into the office, I was anxious and fearful. After speaking to Dr. Pledger and his assistant, my anxiety level dropped tremendously after knowing I could be sedated for the procedure. The extraction went smoothly and I don't remember any discomfort or unpleasantness. I'm healing up well and am so very relieved to have the bad tooth out. Got my wisdom teeth taken out last week. from the initial meeting where x-rays were taken, I knew Dr. Pledger was going to do an amazing job. he took his time to explain the entire procedure and recovery experience and sounded extremely confident in his work. 2 wisdom teeth extractions took no more than half an hour. no waiting since i was the first appt of the day. I came to Dr.Pledger for preventive impacted wisdom teeth removal. The entire experience was extremely professional, caring and efficient. Looking back, this is definitely the right place to go! I felt well informed throughout the process, from the initial consultation, to surgery and post-surgery care. I was asked to fill out relevant medical information on their website prior to my first consultation. I wanted to completed the surgery without sedation and with only local anesthesia. Dr.Pledger and assistant April patiently answered all of my questions and assured me with confidence. I took antibiotics prior the surgery as directed. And I drove myself to the office the morning of surgery. The entire surgery for my impacted wisdom teeth took about 30minutes, with the first 10-15minutes mostly prepping and working through the local anesthesia process. The actual surgical removal of the impacted teeth was light speed. I was surprised how quickly and painless it was. I was only able to feel the pressure of levering to extract the tooth and not any pain. Even the local anesthesia process was relatively painless. The openings were sutured with absorbable sutures. After the surgery, I was given ice pack, gauze and instructions for care. And I was able to drive myself home without any issue. Dr.Pledger called the evening to ensure that I was doing ok and didn't have any unexpected complications. And I returned for a follow-up one week after. Now it's about 3 weeks after surgery and my removal site has healed very well. I did have an unexpected allergy to pain-killers/anti-inflammatory drugs. But the surgery was completed so flawlessly that I didn't even feel much pain afterwards and no longer needed pain killers. If you are looking for an oral surgeon who is ethical, genuine, with decades of experiences and that you can trust, I highly recommend Dr.Pledger! He and his entire staff are amazing! I'm late writing this review but I went to Dr Pledger needing an extraction and a dental implant. I have horrible anxiety and I'm terrified of dentists but the doctor and his entire staff were very compassionate and professional. From explaining in detail the procedure, answering all of my questions, making sure I had adequate pain control, all the way through to the final follow up, they were excellent. I did experience a minor complication, dry socket (not Dr Pledger's fault), and when I called him, his office was closed that day but he dropped what he was doing and opened his office to see me to address my issue. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed by the care he provided. His pricing is also the best in town. Both Dr. Pledger and his staff are extremely professional, informative and empathetic. They know how expensive medical care can be, especially for those of us with no dental insurance and are fair and upfront with costs In my late 40s, I finally needed a wisdom tooth pulled. Turned out it was a complicated procedure, not just your basic pulling. I did have pain and swelling for over two weeks afterwards, but that is due to my age and medical condition that cause me to not heal quickly. Ok it is now 4.5 hours passed my surgery appt. And I am feeling pretty good. My husband and I arrived about 20 minutes early for my appointment. Was quickly greeted by Diana at the front desk, she's very sweet and she's friendly. Had a few papers to fill out, hubby waited with me while I signed. At my appt. time, they escorted me back to the surgery room, was asked by the dental hygenist/assistant hooked me up to the blood pressure machine and Dr. Pledger came in while she hooked up my IV line. They both made me feel comfortable and relaxed, explained once again the procedure and asked if I had any questions. After making sure I was taken care of, Dr. Pledger went out to the lobby to inform my husband of the plan and while my hubby went next door to burger king to eat (big jerk :) ) I was put under and my 4 beautiful wisdom teeth were extracted. Seriously felt like a few mins. Had no pain when I woke, didn't feel too groggy either. I am home and resting, still not swollen and when I look in my mouth it is in good shape. My gums that were cut to accommodate the remainder of my tooth is clean and doesn't look like it was cut at all. Dr. Pledger explained to me during our consultation a week or so ago that he was going to try do to the operation without the use of stitches if possible because recovery time was longer and it's a bit more painful. And he did just that. No stitches and I feel good. I have taken my antibiotics and my motrin. I may take the pain meds just tonight but so far I don't need them. I cannot say enough about my short but positive introduction and visit with Dr. Pledger and his staff. Truly genuine staff in caring for their patients, office is cleaner than any I've seen, besides my regular dentist, great location and staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the procedures they offer. I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Pledger for a consultation for 2 implants. I was terrified of the procedure so had been putting it off for a while. His staff was very friendly and Dr. Pledger was amazing. They assured me I'd be fine and that the procedure was no big deal. They were right! The procedure didn't hurt at all and almost zero bleeding when he was done. Once the numbness wore off I was afraid there would be pain but nope nothing. I didn't have to take any medication of any kind. An extraction hurts more then this procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Pledger to anyone that needs or wants dental implants! read more
