Market Wagon operates in some regions of the country and sells and delivers local farmers' and vendors' meats, dairy products, prepared foods, baked goods, pantry items, fruits, vegetables, and non-food products such as soaps. Since 2021, I have placed dozens of orders through Market Wagon's website. Unlike competing companies' food delivery services, Market Wagon does not automatically send pre-selected foods. Instead, I choose when I shop and what exact products that I buy each week. I also like that the website allows me to ask questions about products and to review my purchased items. On a predetermined day of the week, the company's drivers deliver my order in reusable totes to my front door. The deliveries have occurred on time, and the drivers have been friendly. Delivery does cost several dollars, and you can add an optional tip. During my next delivery, I leave out my totes and ice packs, and the drivers return them to the company for reuse. I deducted 1.5 stars from my review because I cannot do all of my grocery shopping here, and because the vendors often run out of particular products. Sometimes MarketWagon automatically gives me a refund, and other times I must contact them and ask. read more

Absolutely amazing! We love that during the winter months (and summer too) we can obtain local produce to both improve our health and support local Indiana businesses and farms. We have been ordering off and on for a few months and find that they are consistently efficient, on time, have courteous drivers and a ton of great options to choose from for purchasing. We especially live that they have gluten free options like Native Bread which is too far from our home for us to make it there during the week to buy bread staples. But now we can get it delivered! We recommend trying this out to many, especially those with a desire to support local and get organic items throughout the year. Love it! read more

Wife and I found MW on FB about 2.5 years ago. Loved the service ! Became a driver delivery warehouse contract with MW. Last fall , WNC and Eatern Tennessee got hit with biblical 1000 year Flood. I delivered just hours before, taking videos of rising creeks. Unaware Hurricane Helene was coming my way. Woke up to my hometowns/villages COMPLETELY gone. This week , see attached video. I just picked up my order from Market Wagon. I live in Rushville so nothing gets delivered here but they do deliver the Shelbyville. I placed my order for my Malibu Sunset elixir for a Yelp event this evening and in addition to the elixir I also purchased a Daikon radish and a couple of garlic heads. Everything came nicely packaged in a thermal bag and was ready for me when I got to the pizza place in Shelbyville to collect it. I was notified via text that it was there by Market Wagon. I will Echo someone else's review that I would not have known about this if it had not been for Yelp. We ordered a 4lb chicken. They sent 2 2lb chickens with no explanation or suggestion it might not be what we wanted. There is far less meat, the young chickens have far less flavor, serving up a couple of little birds looks mean to our guests. I will not order from them again. read more

I now remember why I quit them before......ZERO customer service. I placed an order for delivery the 11th. When I was unpacking my order it looked like my asparagus order was incomplete so I weighed it. Yep....I received HALF my order.....so I went to the site to contact them. There is no real way to actually interact with anyone there. I was allowed to note that my order was missing items. There was no way to state WHAT was missing or what I expected. They promise to get in touch in "24 hours." Well, it's been 3 days. I contacted them again yesterday. STILL no response. I've had two orders delivered from Market Wagon now and I'm very impressed with their service. They have the best delivery service and quality packaging. Items come in a durable insulated pack with ice packs. I was happy when I found out they delivered to my area, near Anderson. I'm glad to see that they are expanding! They sent a promo code for $$ off my 2nd order, so that was inciting. And it worked, because I ordered again! My favorite vendors are Nameless Catering, 4 Birds Bakery, Tulip Creamery, and Circadian Coffee. And I can get it directly delivered to my door without driving 40 minutes into town. read more

Website was really easy to use - I was super excited to use it to purchase Old Major dinner for two because I volunteer on Thursday evenings and cannot pick up. I also went ahead and got some meatballs too because yum. I received confirmation of my purchase, notification of the delivery window, and that my delivery had been made. Appreciated the insulated bag and ice pack. I brought it inside and before I could unpack I got a call and ended up working for a couple hours before unpacking. The packaging kept it nice and cold. They have NO customer service. For the past 12 weeks half my order was missing. What I did receive was spoiled and not fit to eat. They take your money instantly and take weeks to refund. I got turned on to this because of the pandemic, at first I was skeptical. Only because the concept of having all this fabulous food dropped off at home is excellent. It's a pretty cut and dry process; you order what you need on the app, the have it all sectioned out for easy selection. My go to is fresh milk, eggs, meat, fruit, veggies and it all comes from local farmers in the state of Indiana, every time I order I've never had issues, just leave your bags in front of your door and they come drop off new ones and you are set. This isn't just good for the basics, you can also get fun add ons like circle city kombucha or these different elixirs to make cocktails. I love it for the convenience and supporting local businesses, they also have different days and time selection as to when to drop off food. The pricing is also very competitive when you consider the local small business aspect, this is a service I use often! read more

I've been a Market Wagon customer ever since it began being offered in my area! I love the convenience of home delivery and now there are so many things I order each week and consider them staple items. Every week I get fresh whole milk from Dandy Breeze, eggs from Bacon Swamp farms, cold brew coffee from Limelight and I usually toss in some seasonal produce and a treat for myself I'm never disappointed with the quality of items I receive. Sometimes I even get personalized notes in my order from the vendors who have come to appreciate my weekly order. I feel good knowing that I am supporting local businesses and helping to feed their families by ordering products to feed mine. I don't mind paying more than I would in a grocery store for most items because I know exactly where everything comes from, heck I could go visit the farm if I wanted. How has it taken me so long to discover Market Wagon?! I'm in love!! So many fresh, farm to table options that I didn't even know about and some of my favorite vendors are on here too! You can order for Tuesday or Thursday pick up or delivery for a fee if you are in the map area and it's so worth it! You get a text when your order is packed and on its way and then another text when it has been delivered. Just put the tote bags back out for your next order! You can add on to your order up to the cut off time and the vendors will send you messages on new items or discounts sometimes if you follow them! Listen- you can get sourdough bread from Urban garden and the salsa verde from 3 in 1 and butterscotch pie from Shirey farm and .....ok. Just check it out!! read more

Our family has been ordering from Market Wagon for the last couple of months (roughly 8 or 9 orders worth!). Each week, orders are due by Tuesday, and they're delivered on Thursday. We opt to pick our order up at our local coffee shop (shout out Noble Coffee) since we visit daily anyway, and it's so convenient! The orders come in insulated bags with dry ice, and your actual order is in a paper bag, making it easy to grab the paper bag and go. Our orders have always been correct, and the one time we forgot an item and needed to add on, they were quick to respond on social media to help us out (FYI: you just place another order and they automatically group them for delivery!). Our weekly staples include microgreens from Falling Waters Farm, bagels from Scholar's Inn Bakehouse (a Bloomington STAPLE that I miss so much from my college days!), and meats from Old Major Market and Moody's Butcher Shop. We often throw in whatever fruits and veggies are in season, along with the various sale items that come up each week. The only very minor change I'd like to see is more consistency in delivery times. Typically the order is delivered sometime between 1pm and 3pm at the pick up location, but as anybody with a toddler knows, it can be a real nightmare to try to drag them both over there if the order comes later than expected. We could (and may!) opt for home delivery for an additional $6, but it's so nice to have that piece free that for now, we're rolling the dice on toddler moods and pickup times! read more

I really love the concept of Market Wagon and LOVE their vendors! however, when there is an issue, there is no response at all from their customer support and they make it very challenging to have anything resolved. I was charged for something incorrectly and reached out right away via their online form submission. I have also called to inform them of the error to hopefully catch it before the truck was loaded for delivery. I received no responses other than form emails that said I would hear back within 24 hours. That was 4 days ago now, and attempted to contact each day waiting for a response. read more

This was my first experience with Market Wagon, And I would not have known that it existed if it weren't for Yelp! Even though I only ordered one item, I felt like I was a first class customer! I LOVE Market Wagon. it truly is an online farmers market but with even more variety. It is a way to help local farmers and get fresh meat and produce straight from the farmers. The food always tastes better than store bought. You can even purchase prepared meals on days you just don't feel like cooking which is a blessing. Overall I LOVE this concept of helping local business owners sell their products and get them exposure. I hope this service can continue and grow and I am sure it is useful to many people. Unfortunately, the main thing I wanted that I ordered was out of stock and removed from my order. You find that out when you get your order. Lesson learned: don't order something you plan on serving that evening without a backup plan if it doesn't get delivered. Also, nothing seemed to have any instructions for how to re-heat the prepared foods so that they are best enjoyed. That would have been helpful. Overall, the experience was just "ok". I am not sure I'll do it again because the restrictions on ordering by Sunday night to get it Tuesday (or maybe not get stuff you want) is not the most convenient scenario for our family. read more

I wanted to start using Market Wagon because I want to avoid the grocery store, if possible, during covid-19 and I don't know when my local farmers market will start (also because of covid-19). I got 50% off my first order which was great. Without the discount my total is less than what I'd spend at the grocery store and the $5.95 delivery fee is worth every penny if that means I can support local while spending less than I would at a chain grocery store. I have so many products that I still want to try but I've enjoyed being able to get cheese from Tulip Tree Creamery and meat from Old Major Market. I would normally get products from them at the Zionsville farmers market so I'm really glad I can still get these items during this weird time! I've also enjoyed getting my dog treats from DJ's Doggie Delights and Pet Wants. I'm looking forward to more veggies becoming available. Just another self-induced hyped subscription based delivery service that is mediocre at best. These people spend more time marketing themselves more than anything. You want good local organic products delivered to your door from farmers look elsewhere. Inconsistent products and damaged/questionable goods. I have tried their service several times.. I would assume the most 5 star reviews on yelp they do receive come from employees/owners, or their relatives. Sorry for the negative vibes just thought you should get the truth. Never again. I can't comment on the produce I purchased since I wasn't able to consume the product. Sadly, the delivery of my order severely violated health safety measures and I had to toss the whole thing out. The company was great and provided a refund with a certificate for a future order, but I will never be trying this again. Market Wagon is a really convenient way to get fresh, local produce. Supporting local farmers who "do the right thing" by their animals means you can heel good about what you eat. There are always eggs and good quality vegetables. We've been on a spaghetti squash roll lately and I can tell you that you can tell the difference between the supermarket stuff and the locally grown. Market Wagon is also about local baked goods and crafts. We've bought some pretty awesome breads and pasties. You can also buy tea, pet treats, so much else. At first it started out AMAZING! I've gotten used to fresh farm products when my late husband was stationed in NC and from when we visited family in MS and TN. SO , this was a huge blessing. But after a while, it got worse. Eggs were broken, baked goods were smooshed. Even many issues with the Auto subscription checkout not working. Why am I going to keep paying for a delivery subscription and my orders never going through??? The last time, I had several items in my cart ( even my auto subscription) and nothing happened. Any other time my order would be automatically placed. I even contacted them over this problem. I can get my farmer eggs from a closer farm and farm milk from a closer farm. I will however miss the other vendors. I am a single Mom and widow, this was an amazing way to get fresher products but I'm not sure what happened but I would look into FB marketplace for what you're looking for.
