Most times there seems to be something for the kids to do just outside their doors.. especially during the school holidays so parents can take advantage of while they shop. I do find staff here to be more like cats... they don't mind to be petted on the odd occasion but will keep to themselves and just offer a glance.

The variety of stores is worth it though with a modern finish and wide walkways I have come to expect from an updated centre. The Coles and Woolworths are massive and I love the convenience of both stores should one be out of stock. The restaurant precinct has plenty to offer. TGI Friday's, Lee's Kitchen, Burger Urge and Oliver Brown to name the few I've tried with Hong Kong Chef and Kinn Thai on the list next. The adjoining cafeteria has just as much to please every taste bud. Parking has been my gripe in the past but I have started using a different spot on the roof top which has been great. A few more trips and I can hopefully call myself a local.

Westfield Kotara is still undergoing its transformation but so far the addition of the rooftop dining and cinema precinct as well as the expansion on the second floor has me excited and I'm not the shopping type. I have yet to try Event Cinemas but I have delighted my tastebuds at Kinn Thai, San Churro, Lone Star, Crinitis.... most of the rooftop restaurants to be honest. It's a lovely space. Kmart has yet to reopen (est late Nov 2018) and Toys r Us is no longer. David Jones and Target are still the major retailers with plenty of other stores catering to all fashions, beauty and home. 3 hour free parking seems standard now with the new parking system recording your cars number plate. No more tickets. Sadly though I don't think much has been done to ease the congestion issues.
