I am celiac, so it can be hard to find places to eat. They DO NOT have a dedicated fryer! So although most of the menu is GF, it was not celiac safe. There were still a handful of items that I could safely have. I really wanted the schnitzel or Cordon Bleu, but both were fried. Total bummer. The staff and owner were excellent. They understood what I could and couldn't have. That being said, what my wife and I ordered was FANTASTIC. The gluten free bun was amazing. So much so, that I had the check if they made a mistake. I am insanely sensitive, and highly reactive (less than 10ppm gets me violently ill) and had no reaction. My wife loved her meal and could not believe it was GF. The menu had an eastern European feel to it, but I suspect there would be something for everyone. HONESTLY... one of the best home made fresh, natural (real) food restaurants i have ever been to. It was fairly quick to get our food and order taken. It is a casual restaurant and he said there is usually live music but not when I went. Out of the dishes we tried , cabbage rolls were the best flavour and they had meat or vegan option. I found the smoked peppers to be quite bland , big portion but for $19 it was mainly plain mashed potato and beans. read more

We've been to this restaurant several times and absolutely love the food here. For me, I personally order their Schnitzel and Cordon Blu because they are my favorite. However my husband has tried alot of other dishes here and can honestly say there isn't a bad meal. The owner is very friendly and most of the time will also be your server. He is passionate about the food he serves. Alot of the items are on the healthier end. I love how he substitutes flour with almond flour in his schnitzel giving it a better taste. Also once in awhile there is live music. We for fortunate enough to check out the Elvis tribute singer. This is definitely a place one should check out. read more

This is constructive criticism because the food was CLEAN & amazing! Service was scattered & didn't feel like first come first served (maybe because the hostess did everything but cooked the food). It was a weeknight, not crowded, our first time. The homemade bread was burnt at the bottom (carcinogenic) but they kind of made up for it with another small loaf that was perfect (no charge). No one can afford (healthwise) to eat blackened food. I should have sent the first one back, but wanted to let them show their own standards. Happily, they knew & maybe just needed more time to bake another. It is a good place for a relaxing home-cozy feel. We will definitely eat there again - coleslaw is clean & to die for! read more

Hold onto your boots, this a place off the beaten path! A gem waiting to be discovered. Stopped in for supper, started with the Marko's spring rolls. They were terrific! I recommend them along with the chicken fritters! Both are out of this world. My wife had the stir fry, and I had the sausage sandwich. My sandwich was amazing. Very simple meat, bread and their cheese sauce. The star of the dish was the sausage, the bread highlighted the sausage. Very filling, but not heavy. Also the stir fry was simply cooked to perfection! Very flavorful, lots of meat and fresh vegetables. Dessert was also home made and very tasty. The walnut cake was fantastic. This is a place that everyone needs to come and eat at. It's simple. Home cooking. Made with Love from a grandmother. We all know that they cook with love and you can taste it! The ambience is casual, free, and enjoyable.. the staff know the menu and recommend the best supper I have had in a long time. Restaurant is small but clean. Food is typical Serbian food but with also quite a few vegan dishes which is not my experience in Serbia with the two times I went. We decided to go with the mixed meat plate for 2 and the smoked pepper stuffed with beans and potatoes. Both dishes were excellent and very authentic. I especially liked the smoked pork and the stuffed pepper. My husband enjoyed all the meat. Really good wine/beer/alcohol menu. My husband enjoyed the beer, I had a good glass of wine, and I had cherry brandy for dessert. Our server was excellent and very kind to our little girl and gave her a cookie for dessert. Marco's wife passed away at only 50 and he has family challenges with his fabulous son, who we were lucky to meet, and he shook his hand after the meal. Ironically, there was only two tables filled at the restaurant and we were celebrating my daughters birthday and the other table were also celebrating a birthday, so Marco the fabulous owner helped us out and sang happy birthday to both tables with a candle on the free dessert, which was a lovely, added touch. It turns out that we even have a Serbian friend in common with the same name, both first name and last name. We love Markos! It is our family go-to restaurant for delicious food at reasonable prices. Our go-tos are cevapi, goulash and chicken cordon bleu and any of the salads. The food was fantastic. It was so good and so healthy. Options are great and Marko is very personable. It does get busier later on a Friday night. would have preferred on table not sat quite as close to use but I will definately go again and recommend to my friends.
