    Marko's Rolls

The owner greeted us and told us the story of the restaurant, and why he opened it. His initiative was to create healthy food inspired by his son who had an illness. We ordered quite a few dishes and 2 alcoholic beverages. We like supporting local. The overall experience was good. Homemade food from scratch with the owner as your server in a very traditional atmosphere

Pork schnitzel with fresh (homegrown) cabbage salad, and to the right, the chicken cordon bleu, with fries and homemade ketchup!

Had a great conversation with the owner about his time as a chef and the origins of his restaurant. Charming, warm atmosphere with a varied menu that takes pride in homemade and homegrown ingredients. Our schnitzel and cordon bleu were great (large portions, too). We'll be back. All the best to them.

Hold onto your boots, this a place off the beaten path! A gem waiting to be discovered. Stopped in for supper, started with the Marko's spring rolls. They were terrific! I recommend them along with the chicken fritters! Both are out of this world. My wife had the stir fry, and I had the sausage sandwich. My sandwich was amazing. Very simple meat, bread and their cheese sauce. The star of the dish was the sausage, the bread highlighted the sausage. Very filling, but not heavy. Also the stir fry was simply cooked to perfection! Very flavorful, lots of meat and fresh vegetables. Dessert was also home made and very tasty. The walnut cake was fantastic. This is a place that everyone needs to come and eat at. It's simple. Home cooking. Made with Love from a grandmother. We all know that they cook with love and you can taste it! The ambience is casual, free, and enjoyable.. the staff know the menu and recommend the best supper I have had in a long time. To one and all come and eat great food in a great place with great service. I will be a regular whenever I'm in town.

Restaurant is small but clean. Food is typical Serbian food but with also quite a few vegan dishes which is not my experience in Serbia with the two times I went. We decided to go with the mixed meat plate for 2 and the smoked pepper stuffed with beans and potatoes. Both dishes were excellent and very authentic. I especially liked the smoked pork and the stuffed pepper. My husband enjoyed all the meat. Really good wine/beer/alcohol menu. My husband enjoyed the beer, I had a good glass of wine, and I had cherry brandy for dessert. Our server was excellent and very kind to our little girl and gave her a cookie for dessert. We will be back.

My family and I love French food and we were really excited to try this new place out…read more We started with the foie Gras, escargot, and French onion soup. They were all great. My parents favorite dish of the entire meal was the escargot. I loved the escargot. The French onion soup was a little salty but I finished the entire thing. For mains we ordered the beef Wellington, steak frites, and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Beef Wellington: we ordered the filet medium rare, more on the rare side. It came out medium rare/medium. The mushroom sauce was delicious, pastry flaky, and mashed potatoes creamy. Steak Frites: the fries were a let down because they had no truffle on them, the steak was quite flavorful with the sauce. It was unfortunate that the steak had a tendon running down the side of the strip. Prawns Fettucine: the sauce was very creamy. The noodles were almost too al dente for my liking (but that may be a style of French cooking?). The prawns didn't add anything special Dessert we got the banana foster. The cooking flambé display was impressive. The banana foster was good, but other than the flambé nothing too exciting. If I were to go back, I would try the chicken or duck. . . . Unfortunately, the mussels were a little fishy.

This was our first time there, bt will certainnly not be the last- wayy too many yummy things on the menu to check out

My boyfriend and I tried to go next door and get some Mexican food but they told us their kitchen was closed and Cleaver was open until 11pm. We hopped right over and got some delicious happy hour. The food was the best part of this experience. The chicken sandwiches in happy hour was absolutely flavorful. Something in this sandwich was picked and it was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries in duck fat was holy smokes DELICOUS!!! You can taste the truffle so good. There was so much truffle. Idk if they used truffle oil and salt but omg I loved it so much. It was so perfect. The drinks were just as good as well. For happy hour it's only $8 for doubles. The bartender (I think her name is Alex) was so poised when bartending. She's so good at her job and all the drinks have all this extra ingredients. It's amazing how she remembers them all! Unfortunately for us, she doesn't over pour on the liquor. Lol! But that's great for the business owner that she does all the right measurements for the drinks. You won't lose any money from her working there. That's a good worker! Camilo was also a great server. Gave some great recommendations and was so nice and friendly. I love this place!!!!

Service was friendly but not particularly knowledgeable. - Bread plate - complimentary with cultured butter - Kid pizza ($12.00) - simple tomato sauce pizza - Grilled calamari ($20.00) - tiny piece - 3x Dinner prix fixe ($50.00) - albacore tuna, melon & prosciutto, lamb kofta, confit duck leg, bombolone and chocolate cremeaux. Tuna was nicely medium rare, not enough prosciutto between the cantaloupe and honeydew. Lamb skewer was gamey, enjoyed the pickled vegetables. Duck leg was decent, carrot velouté underneath was tasty. Italian doughnut was serviceable, chocolate cremeaux was better

Our server (if going by the receipt, her name was Kelly) was so personable and gave us her honest opinions on what to order. And the ambiance was excellent as well. We went in for a 6:15pm reservation on a Friday night, and we were pleased to see that it was fairly quiet, warm, and intimate. By the end of the meal, it had filled up and gotten louder, so if you're looking for a quiet date night, maybe try to come for 5:30 or so. And the food--just wonderful. The cider glazed Brussels sprouts dish was perhaps our favorite. I don't think I've ever had better fried Brussels sprouts, and the sweet and savory notes were perfectly balanced. That's also what makes their pear and brie pizza a popular item as well: sweet/savory balance and the correct amount of truffle oil to make fragrant and not overpower. The cavatelli was also excellent, the fennel-lemony flavor helped not make the dish feel so heavy. The saffron arancini was just okay, but everything else was so good that I wasn't unhappy. I was a bit sad that they didn't offer any birthday dessert, but it was still such a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back again!

They're located in a random industrial area. We dropped in on Saturday (around 4:30pm). The one lady working was very sweet and informative. Products offered include bread, pies, pizza, pizza crust, muffins, squares and cakes. - Apple pie ($13.00 family size) - my dad loved it. Not too sweet. - Cherry mocha cake ($13.00) - my favourite thing that we ordered. Good mocha flavour. Great deal for a cake that's normally three times the price. - Assorted 6 pack muffins ($13.50) - two each of the Orchard, pumpkin and lemon coconut. Best one was the lemon coconut; good lemon flavour. - Nanaimo bar ($3.75) - solid, pretty close tasting to a regular nanaimo bar. - Coconut cranberry lemon square ($3.75) - not the best. Texture was dry. Can't beat the reasonably priced GF/DF/EF baked goods at EO. Looking forward to trying more things.
