Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They'll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

My husband was able to find whole oats here (called Jumbo Oats) which he couldn't find in any of the major grocery stores. The meat prices are extremely good especially for being so fresh and local, and the frozen meats are a super bargain! We bought some just-picked seasonal strawberries yesterday and they were amazingly delicious. We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It's perfect for those "What are we going to have for dinner" afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. We are definite fans and plan to shop here routinely while we're in town.

If you want to get a bottle of alcohol for your hotel room I would suggest coming here! They have a variety of red wines to choose from and also other spirits as well. Everyone always says UK is pretty expensive but I found going to this market it was pretty dirt cheap. For checking out you can either do it yourself or you can wait in a line for a cashier to assist you. If your buying alcohol you should wait for the cashier line. Tip- Right across the train station!

It's not a huge store, but helpfully it's open 24 hours a day, although you do have to fight your way round the shelf stackers at night. Generally it's pretty well stocked, apart from the odd days around the major holidays where you can find the shelves dreadfully empty. There's a pharmacy, which I've never used, a Tesco Direct counter which works just as it should. The photo shop is always having their machine break down but when it's running the service is actually very good. A word of warning, there's a café tucked away upstairs at the far right of the shop, very easy to miss. I would definitely give it a miss, the breakfast is truly disgusting, and the coffee machine seems to be out of order whenever I go there. It's clean and tidy though.

Walking into Winfield isn't like walking into a supermarket. On entering, you are greeted with a strange aroma, which can only be described as sweet meat, and find yourself side stepping down the few aisles they have because it is rather cramped. It is the perfect hotspot for people who like to cook their own Chinese food and this is why, despite the smell and space, it is a firm favourite of mine. They sell everything you would need to cook up a Chinese feast, including the soup bowls! You can tell that it is a family run business and it does hold a very welcoming atmosphere, you can even pick up a fortune cookie! Winfield is a treasure of a shop with the best prices amongst other Chinese supermarkets around town. It's on Mill Road too so it's easy to find! I fear that not enough people are aware of Winfield and therefore I urge you to experience that sweet meaty store!

Unsurprisingly, all expense has been spared in kitting out the premises with the goods stacked still in their boxes rather than neatly arranged on shelves, resulting in a rather uninviting warehouse atmosphere. Don't let that put you off! We first visited after reading a positive review in the Observer of the wines on offer and have been back many times since to stock up on bread, store cupboard basics, cleaning products, deli goods, frozen food and DIY tools. There are very few familiar brands, but most of the Aldi imitations are not noticeably different and much better value. On the whole we've always been pleasantly surprised, but we particularly like the washing up liquid, the grilled peppers in olive oil, frozen fish, Shropshire blue cheese and Montepulciano red wine. While the quality of the goods for sale is much better than the shop's decor would lead you to believe, unfortunately one can never rely on a particular item being in stock on any given day. The shop assistants are perfectly friendly, if not overly so, and work incredibly fast when scanning your goods. There are no free carrier bags, so you'll have to buy one or bring your own.

We spent close to three hours in this Tesco. Luckily I was slightly buzzed from just leaving the pub so I didn't mind. They had quite a number of goods on clearance, pretty much it's a wild card. The sale section is towards the back where the toys and workout supplements are located. A lot of school supplies on sale. I was impressed at their music selection and that I could buy a three disc Ministry of Sound dance CD for £6. They have quite a large school supply section. Pretty much this Tesco carries just about everything. The prices I noticed were £0.30-£1.00 higher then my normal Tesco Store so I was shy about grocery shopping. I guess the bigger the store, they figured lets raise the price too. That is one thing I really didn't like were the higher prices. The bathrooms on the other hand stink to high heaven. I could smell them by Costa. If I were you Tesco I would invest in air freshener. You sell it, why can't you use it? Pretty much I rate this three hour shopping experience a solid three. Just a tip if you get your car washed while you shop take your valuables and your lighters with you. Cadbury Chocolate originated in England in 1824. Happy almost 200 years! Thank you! Besides Birmingham, this is the biggest Cadbury store in England. It is exactly 54 miles north and east of London. It is located in an outlet mall ( Braintree Village)with a Nike store, Vans, Ted Baker, Body Shop, Top Dog and the lovely Costa coffee shop. Great variety - 62 types of chocolate bars( yes I counted December 2022 trip), brownie tins, cookies( I am sorry I meant biscuits, we are in the UK), cocoa drink mixes, gift baskets, picnic bites, drinks, shakes, seasonal beauties for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Prices are a bit higher than the supermarket. Please note only British pound sterling accepted in the UK, no Euros. I believe £1 =$1.24. FYI Hershey owns the right to manufacture Cadbury chocolates in the US. They do taste better across the pond as they have more fat and cocoa there( music to my ears as I do the " Cadbury Curly Wurly" dance). Very mellow and polite staff. The young ladies brought us a gift bag and a big basket to shop. They could see by the look on my face that I planned to purchase in bulk and pay the extra baggage fees for that overweight NY bound third suitcase. Ample free street parking. Store is open 7 days a week with the late day being Saturday till 7 pm. I would highly recommend visiting this store, the outlets and then driving another 18 miles east to the English coast where you feel that beautiful North Sea breeze as you take that gorgeous bite from the Cadbury Twirl Orange bar looking east with Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam just 177 miles away.

It's not an especially big store but there's a reasonable, though not huge, range of wares on display as you go in. For the tray-made chocolates the pricing is fairly straightforward- you pay depending on what size of box you want, and then they will put whichever chocolates you want in that box until it's full. Boxes are neatly presented in a box tied with a ribbon, inside a shiny bag- it's a gift ready to be given. They also do special commissions such as icing names onto chocolate figures, the usual kind of thing. Their web site gives a good idea of their range. The chocolates are quality stuff- a little bit bitter (like real chocolate should be), quite dusty, but very tasty little treats. Besides Belgian chocolate, I also love Belgian beers, and I asked in the Chocolate House whether there were any shops selling Belgian beers in Cambridge. Unbelievably, I was told the answer was 'no', when I later found out there are at least 2. Maybe there's some sort of inter-Belgian shop rivalry going on there?..
