Upon picking my car up I was told my total was somewhere around the $1065 price point (not exactly sure of the final total). I panicked because in this economy, I had been saving and pinching pennies for the past 3 weeks to ensure I could effort the $700 price tag for the needed repairs. When I was given the new total, I asked if I could go out to my car because it seemed quite a bit higher than my original quote. The man said "of course!" I came back with my original quote and at this point Garry (manager?) had joined our crew and we all tried to figure out what happened. After a few minutes we realized that someone (not me) had called and asked to have an additional service added on to their appointment today and it was somehow added to my car. Garry was amazing after I reassured him I had no idea what he was talking about and had not called since I placed my original call about the inspection & check engine light nearly 5 weeks prior. They looked at my car, and said it would be fine. They said my battery was in tip top shape. Two months later in the cold, it didn't start, and I couldn't make it to school. I went to Firestone in Biddeford to get my car looked at after an oil change at prompto Auto…read moreservice. They overfilled my car with oil by a liter and I was having car issues that I thought were very related. They looked at my car. Amanda, the manager explicitly said this had nothing to do with an overfill. Even though I later found out she found Found spark plugs covered in oil. She also told me my number four coil for my engine needed to be changed as well which I later find out can be tied to an overfill. So I fixed all four coils and spark plugs and then had a lot of stalling issues which caused a PCV valve code. So again I got that part. We also discovered that part was covered in oil. Then my crankshaft sensor was an issue, I fixed that part and that was also covered in oil. On a side note, a mysterious engine filter brand new was installed in my car but there's oil all around it. I love how this has nothing to do with the liter that was overfilled in my car. As a single mother, I'm just at a loss here...... Prompto explicitly said if it was tied they would fix it so I have no idea what happened, I don't know if companies don't like to call each other out but this is just crazy to me.

Tech came out said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your tint, your tire tread is low but still well within pass. Your tires stick out maybe 1/4" too far. I have not been to this place in probably 5 years. I always worked on my car its never been to…read moreanother mechanic. They did several jobs for me on a car when I was sick. I had several issues with the repairs. In one repair they fixed a bumper support to get the bumper support off rather then dropping the exhaust they bent and pried and broke the hanger on the exhaust. I ended up fixing this myself about a month later as the muffler had a lifetime warranty. Recently I pulled the front suspension apart they used a regular nut! on the tie rod ends rather then a castle nut no way this could have been torqued properly. They also used a replacement screw to hold on a brake dust shield that in itself is fine but the screw they used had a square thread rather then phillips like the rest no way this was ever going to come off again with a square head. Never have seen someone use something like this before they are construction screws. I will say this Wayne seems pretty honest I was there once and he was on the phone telling someone he didnt want to work on a their car anymore because he felt the car was rotted out and didnt want to bill them for a car that was going to die very soon.
