I would add that those fairways are really tight and there is almost nowhere that is a simple flat piece of ground. This makes for a tough course that is very rewarding when you play well. Off the championship tees, there is no other course in the Newcastle area with a higher slope rating. If you want to challenge your golf game, then this course comes highly recommended.

Come for a walk, free BBQs, fish from the jetty, walk the dog, group sport or even just a snooze. A pleasure to relax here and unwind. Easy access to some great coffee and food across the road and other facilities that the esplanade has to offer. Very laid back and won't cost u a fortune. I think it's the third Saturday of the month they hold markets here too which add a brilliant dynamic and who can beat the live music on the Friday nights where you come and chill while running into those friends you plan to meet but never do.
