So why divide it in the first place then? The answer can be found in the atmosphere: although this is one big location, and only recently reopened, the separation has always been in place. On the right hand side you have a loft-style room, with a bar that is set like an island into the middle of the room. You can sit at the bar itself, or at the few tables that are scattered around it. You have barkeepers serving you your favourite drinks, and yes, you can also order your food from the restaurant side. But this is essentially a bar. On the other side, you have a proper sit-down restaurant. They serve burgers, currywurst (German curry sausage...kinda) and a few other things, and pretty decent sweet potato chips (fries). Of course you can also order drinks here, but the idea is that you have the atmosphere of a proper restaurant, with a waiter serving you at your table, etc. So my recommendation for this place is the following: start on the left, make sure you get some decent food in first (as a foundation for what is to come), then change to the right, and get that booze flowing. On Wednesday in winter they had some special "Raclette" burgers where you could melt cheese on a small oven and then pour it over your Burger. Tasty. Really. Hint: go for the Brioche Buns instead of the standard..... Waiter service was quick and really polite. We sat in the middle of the restaurant on high chairs - that is something I would not repeat, and instead try to get a table near one of the walls with proper seating. All in all a 3-4 with a tendency to 4. Food first, Drinks later. Move from left to right. Would I come here again? Clear: YESSSSSSS!

Not only do they still offer their normal food (which is fantastic) - Fish 'n Chips, Big Matt Sandwiches, Burgers, and lots of other yummy stuff - they now offer a DIY-Burger-Menu! This means you get to build your own burger! You can choose between different patties, sauces, toppings and sides - you could even build yourself a Hawaiian Chicken Burger with a fried egg on top...if you would ever consider something as gross as that ;) Just saying...you could! The rest is still fantastic - great drinks (Bulmers & Guinness ftw!), nice pub atmosphere, really friendly and attentive staff, all around a fab place to hang out and have a drink or a bite to eat! The food is not as Irish as you would usually expect it to be, but it's still delicious and they offer weekly specials from all around the world (in addition to their normal pub grub). You can drink a variety of beers, but the cider is what get'a me every time! I'm not a big drinker but even I know that the variety of whisk(e)y they offer is far more than what your normal pub next door has. All in all a great place to spend your nights and have a chat with a random stranger. The staff is also very willing to strike up a conversation, so you won't be all on your own (if you didn't bring friends in the first place that is) I'll be sure to come back soon!

First of all, the Dartmoor Inn is what its name hints at - an English pub where you can also play dart in the back yard/room.
