If you're looking for curtain fabric I can't believe that you will come out without finding what you want. Loads of small rooms inside the shop and on the floor upstairs. Hang on to your kids if you don't want to lose them. The shop is absolutely stuffed full of rolls of fabric - worth a look even if you don't want to buy. Great staff too.

I've found some real bargains here: prices are often cheaper than in London charity shops. For instance on a recent trip I spotted ginger jars for £2.50 each. They also have some lovely carved wooden first-hand stuff. Kids mini jigsaws and money boxes with little carved animals on them. Lovely and very reasonably priced. In the back they have a book nook. It has to be described that way: nice neat shelves and a central padded bench were you can sit and read if you wish. The staff are friendly, and I defy anyone not to find something of interest.

I wasn't really sure what my mum would make of getting her one for Christmas reading 'Beware of the old woman'. All sorts of furniture can be found in here from beds to mirrors to chests of drawers. Not just one of each either but children's beds, double beds, bed side mirrors and full length mirrors. It's not exactly DFS or another out-of-town seller so the quality isn't going to be as high - but for the smaller price tags it's pretty good.
