I had a signed lease agreement that was wrongfully voided after the fact. I submitted my security deposit and first month's rent exactly as instructed -- first via Venmo, then by cashier's check after they abruptly changed their payment method. Despite fully complying, they refused my payment and canceled the lease without a valid reason. The pattern of their actions made it clear to me: I was denied this lease because I am a Black man. The experience felt deliberate, deceptive, and discriminatory -- a blatant example of unfair housing practices that no one should ever have to endure. Their conduct caused serious emotional distress, wasted valuable time, and revealed a complete lack of professionalism, ethics, and accountability. If you value fair, lawful, and respectful treatment, I strongly urge you to avoid this Remax office. What I experienced was not only wrong -- it was discriminatory and unacceptable.

I was referred to Izzy & Jesse Arreola by a KW agent from a different office (who sold another…read moreproperty of mine). Unfortunately my referrer didn't know her or her husband personally, or I doubt I would have been referred to her. I signed her on to sell one of my properties in the Inland Empire and that was a huge mistake. Here's a brief summary of my experience with Izzy: Pros: she's pleasant and nice to talk to, and offers to help Cons: poor follow through, slow & poor communication skills, poor attention to detail (you will find many mistakes in documents), is NOT proactive (you need to push her to do everything & constantly ask her what's going on or she won't tell you), makes tons of sloppy mistakes, doesn't keep the listing in the MLS properly updated with status changes, doesn't know how to properly qualify prospective buyers, doesn't send you written copies of all offers received, doesn't market the property well, tries to lock you in by signing a 1 year listing agreement (when most agents ask you to sign a 3 or 6 month agreement), tries to "double end" deals (represent seller & buyer) but doesn't evenly protect your interests or offer to give a discount when doing so. Summary: overall an unprofessional agent not worth your time when there are better agents out there. If I could give a "0" star rating, I would. In short, RUN - don't walk, to find another agent to sell your property. She made such a ridiculous number of mistakes that after a few months I figured she must be a rookie agent, but her broker tells me that she's a seasoned agent. For months all I received was "lip service" saying what she was doing, but rarely did anything ever get done (certainly not within a reasonable amount of time, and never was anything done properly the first time). She cost me thousands of dollars in lost income, time and headaches. Signing her as my agent is one of the top 3 of the worst mistakes of my life.
