We were very impressed with the attitude of this school. We were just there to see the Joan of Arc chapel, but there is something special about this campus. Inspiring statements everywhere. Clearly they set a tone to graduate people who will make a positive difference in the world. Beautifully landscaped, easy to walk around just looking at the historical buildings.

My alma mater! GORGEOUS camps! I adored my four years as an undergraduate student at Marquette. I found many wonderful staff mentors through various clubs, organizations, and campus jobs I was involved in. The professors were there when I needed them to be. I truly can't imagine my four years anywhere else and Milwaukee will always be home. I'd highly recommend MU with all of my heart to any perspective student. You'll find our alumni network continues to care for and support the community. We are Marquette, we are Milwaukee. Go Golden Eagles!

Now I have a chance to start fresh, and I gotta say, I had a great experience working with Helena S. Benn at Herzing University South Region New Orleans Campus. From the beginning of the enrollment process, she was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I really appreciate when people are direct and can deliver information with grace. I never felt rushed asking questions or needing explanations about the program--I truly valued her approach. She responded to my emails lightning fast, making the whole process much smoother. Helena made everything easy to follow by using bullet points to clarify what I've already completed and what I still need to submit. Her transparency and support really helped me stay organized and motivated. Overall, my first impression is a 10/10. I highly recommend working with Helena if you're considering Herzing. She genuinely cares about her students and makes the process much less stressful. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable, kind, and responsive, she's definitely the right person to guide you on your educational journey.

It took her a month to retrieve my transcripts even though they were sent electronically within an hour. She would return calls weeks later and refer you to staff who would then refer me back to her. First, the assignments I turned in on January 13 were regular homework. These were NOT final exams. They were missed assignments from earlier in the semester that I had been working on since December. The timestamps on my emails clearly show normal human pacing: 10:20 PM, 10:49 PM, and 11:00 PM. This is what any student does when catching up. Instead of seeing that, my instructor decided those timestamps were "suspicious," and used them to claim I used AI with no actual evidence. During the meeting, I explained multiple times that I have a learning disability and an IEP, and that I sometimes use Google or my old notes for clarity because her instructions on the Challenges were not clear. Instead of supporting me or trying to understand my disability, she repeated the word "AI" over and over, trying to get me to fold under pressure. It felt less like support and more like an interrogation. I also explained that I reused my own writing from earlier in the semester something that is completely normal but she twisted that into misconduct too. When I tried to express confusion and frustration, she told me I was "attacking" her, even though I was speaking calmly and just trying to make her understand my point of view. I came into the meeting thinking we were going to work on my assignments together, not to be accused. I felt blindsided, talked over, and mentally drained by the end of it. As a student with an IEP, I did not feel supported, understood, or respected. I felt like the meeting was set up for me to fail from the start. I completed my own assignments, I turned them in myself, and the timestamps prove that. Nothing I did was misconduct. I feel like I was treated unfairly, judged incorrectly, and not given the disability support that I am supposed to receive. I'm disappointed because I worked hard, and instead of being helped, I was interrogated. I hope UWM takes this seriously, because no student especially one with a learning disability should be made to feel this way.

Funny how my financial aid officer hasn't responded to me in a week, but when I owed $200, she was calling me 10-12 times a day. They're not financial aid officers; they're debt collectors. The school curriculum is a joke. They say that the school is geared towards he working class but there's no way a person working a full time job can keep up with 2 classes a semester. I average over 40 hours a week in coursework for 2 classes. Any time I talk about this issue, I'm constantly given excuses by the school and that I basically need to suck it up. For 40 hours a week, I can go to a UW school or MATC full-time, have less school work and pay significantly less than what Kaplan is charging. Bottom line is this....Kaplan is a for profit school and all they care about is your money. They don't care if you fail a class because you'll just have to pay to take it again. They could care less about your life because as long as they are getting paid, that's all that matters. Do yourself a favor and hit up MATC or UWM. They offer online classes, they're reputable and you won't be paying a fortune.
