I found James through a Google search, and he came by a couple days later to look at our 2 trees and give us a quote. His son Nick and teammate Oscar came out yesterday and today, taking down both of our dead, hollow trees. There were a few things I noticed about them that I really appreciated, and I consider rare today. 1. NICK & OSCAR WORKED REALLY WELL TOGETHER. I mean REALLY well. Oscar was a constant help to Nick as he climbed the trees and cut them down. When Nick needed something, Oscar was right there bringing it to him. They acted more like brothers than co-workers. 2. THEY ARE RESPECTFUL. No loud music, no vulgar language. No smoking. Just 2 hardworking guys doing their jobs so they can go home to their families at the end of the day. 3. THEY CLEAN UP WELL! They both took time afterward to clean up their whole mess: street, yard, driveway, and all. I was really impressed with how they took pride in their work and wanted to make sure everything was clean afterwards. 4. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. My husband and I want to create a campfire area in our backyard with log seating around it. When I mentioned this to Nick, he offered to cut however many logs we wanted, and he took time to cut one big one in half to make 2 seats. 5. THEY WERE CONVERSATIONAL. They came to do a job, but they were willing to talk with us as they prepared their equipment and as they were cleaning up. They didn't act rushed or annoyed, and they even acknowledged our toddler and kept waving to him as they walked by. I highly recommend Midwestern Tree Experts and will definitely use them in the future if we need anymore trees cut down. I'm highly impressed. My husband reached back out to the owner and asked that the crew return to finish the work. He was told that it would be finished at the end of the following week. I think it's poor customer service that he expected us to wait 10 more days when the work was done incorrectly the first time. However, since it was already paid for there wasn't much we could do. The following week came and went with no crew and no communication. By Sunday I was fed up and reached back out for a final attempt to get them to come back out. Once again, no response. I don't recommend hiring this company because they don't follow through on their commitments and they are unreliable.
