So, essentially they both perform company audits, prepare annual accounts, maintain monthly accounts, and handle book keeping and wages on behalf of their clients. They also handle tax returns and VAT returns. This means that they manage everything from individual accounts for self employed people to big business clients. They also deal with business start-ups and offer corporate advice. Being Chartered Certified Accountants as well as Registered Auditors, there is no accountancy client that they can't handle, making the one of two or three accountants on this street that can do this, despite there being well over ten accountants on the strip. I have not used this firm personally as my needs are not so grand, but I know a couple of business owners who relies on their services. One friend in particular treats their accountant as part of the company and keeps in regular contact. They justify the cost by telling me that it saves them money in the long run. I guess that this must be true, as they have experienced continued groth throughout the recession! Which is not bad!!!

These are the two different languages with which we interpret and express what we see in our world... but I guess there is more room for artistic license where words are concerned!? It's not so easy to find information about this firm as it is some of the others. They have seemingly a zero internet presence (so hopefully this review will help to amend this in some small way). As a firm of Chartered Accountants, Ahmad & Co. can perform every type of accountancy that they are called upon to handle. This is particularly true where Corporate clients are concerned. Nevertheless, they are also equipped to handle much smaller companies also.

We had already mentioned to the solicitor that our property was slightly different in terms of how it was mortgaged as it was a cornish unit. He failed to remember this and it was clear he hadn't read the documentation sent to him. When our mortgage was delayed due to the solicitors error, I had to ring him up and point out the points on documentation he had missed! While I didn't find the fee's ridiculous, what I did find outrageous is that the solicitor had not done his job properly. He tried to make out that our mortgage broker was at fault when clearly it was his mistake. That annoyed me more than anything else, trying to blame his error on someone else who had done a sterling job. Feeney & Co was recommended to me by my mother in law who found them charming. After that incident, the house sale went smoothly but I lost trust and respect as a result of trying to blame the incident on someone who had been really helpful.

Hugh Feeny has had over 500 clients a year for aprox 15 years and this is the only bad review he has ever received. I have myself used him for 10 years and have never once been let down by his services, in fact I've always been highly impressed by his costumer care and his ability to always know the right thing to do! His fees are extremely reasonable for such a fantastic service, and are alot cheaper than alot of other firms who frankly do not give half as good a service as Mr Feeny. I would recommend Feeny & Co solicitors to anyone that asked me above any other firm, (and trust me I've used alot in my time) and Mr Feeny always does his job properly.

Thankfully, our day of training wasn't as terrifying as I had anticipated (claiming ignorance went a long way here), but it was still pretty intense: our instructors, Eryl Jones (Equinox's Managing Director) and an experienced journalist whose name escapes me, spent a few hours discussing strategy and interview techniques, followed by recording each of us on both tape and video, and ending with a critique. As a trained journalist, it was interesting to be on the other end of questioning for once! It's definitely worthwhile if your company is interested in any sort of media training.
