Oh Minders, you have a lot going for you, but one big bad thing that looms over you that threatens…read moreto ruin it all: the man who owns your shop is the single most pushy man in the world. He gives you that foreign market experience right here but in a language and dialect where you can fully understand him and his pushy nature. If you are in this shop for more than 15 seconds of browsing he will come over, ask if there is anything you want and start informing you of all the stock and offers. He needs to learn to let the customer breathe and let his goods do the work for him as there is some great quality stuff on sale here. I got a beautiful suit here for a bargain £75 as a Christmas gift from my girlfriend, whilst I also treated myself to a beautiful winter coat by Remus Oumo which was 100 quid cheaper than the price it was on sale in the castle court branch! The stuff in here is good; just try to not get harassed. On the plus side this shop will allow some haggling so don't be afraid to get stuck in for a nice deal!

I would not buy anything in this shop as I purchased a school blazer and it was horrendous. The…read moreshop owner said I was the only one to complain and then attempted to berate my daughter for her treatment of the said blazer saying that he had two children at grammar school and their blazers were in pristine condition! My daughter told me that several other pupils in her class were also saying their blazers had fallen apart but as I was the only one to complain it was tough luck as far as this supplier was concerned. I found him very pushy and abrasive and I would not recommend this supplier, in fact when I reiterated my experience to others all I heard was negative comments. Mr Minder goes in for the hard sale but unfortunately doesn't deliver the goods. I actually contacted the suppliers and their attitude was also that I was the only one to complain, I then contacted the school to complain and was told to go to another supplier as they were much better. To say this was frustrating would be an understatement. I told him he should take a course in customer care as he was severely lacking while he was looming over me in a threatening manner and repeating that he didn't know what I wanted and that was certainly the case. This year I will head to another town to purchase my daughters uniform as this supplier does not do supply the goods!

This place was visited countless times whilst I was at school. To get replacement trousers and…read moreshirts as well as ties (which were burnt with bunsen burners) and scarves (which were lost), my Mum must've been sick of this place. Downstairs it is a bit of a trendy shop that isn't really up my street, but the staff are dead on, friendly and non intrusive. Upstairs it is a bit of a one-stop shop for school clothes. I was awarded honours for Drama when I was at school and went here to buy the special blazer, it was £90 which was a bit of a rip-off, but it was the only place you could buy the blazers so I don't really blame them for marking the prices up. Other than being a bit overpriced at times this is a good wee shop

My dad absolutely loves Baillies. He'd never admit it, but any time he's in Bangor, he'll pop in…read moreand nine times out of ten come out with something. And if that isn't love, well, I don't know... Baillies is a Bangor institution and has been around for over five decades, supplying the young, old and men somewhere in between with suits, trousers, shirts, t-shirts, jackets, coats and knitwear. Despite the prices being of a slightly higher nature, Baillies often has really good discounts (hence why my dad loves it so), and you'll find yourself surprised at the bargains available. And yes, I know you're thinking I'm female (and you'd be perfectly correct), but I've been in Baillies many times before...with my dad of course. If you're a pupil at one of Bangor's schools, you can be sure to find your uniform at Baillies. I can't speak for this aspect of the shop, as I went to school in Belfast, but it seems Robbie (the previous reviewer) has a fair grasp on everything school uniform related, so I'll let you read his for information about that. Baillies is a great little shop, with plenty of variety and great service. I just know my dad would be proud to hear me say that...
