Last year I lived with some dirty folks who did not even bother to dispose bin bags. I was charged for things they did out of stupidity when they were completely drunk. How could one prevent 6 drunk students from breaking chairs ? No explanations, no investigation, only penalties for everyone. I noticed that Unite team is so lazy that they do make you clean the whole flat to "as new standard" as if it is not their work to prepare accommodation for new students. You will not be able to clean your pan to "as new standard" and if it does not shine they will automatically charge you. Additionaly there is no flexbility if it comes to paying rent, they will not split it equally if you wish so. I had to choose different accommodation for next year simply because I could not afford paying unequal installments, no way to amend it, just formal answers. Drunk students singing, pissing, getting wasted during sleeptime or revision. People knocking on your door and shouting "WAKE UP" in the middle of the night...not for me, not anymore.

I was assured that all tenants were properly vetted and had references. My property is fairly new and extremely well maintained. The family that was put into my property damaged furniture and fixtures, and painted the rooms against my wishes. They covered up the damage on inspection, but after they had vacated the property, didn't bother attempting to clean at all, leaving me with a cleaning bill, a decorator's bill, and damages. That was nearly six months ago, and I'm still waiting for compensation from Bain. The idiot, Bain, even had the cheek to say that he had another family waiting to go in at a higher price!! Don't go near this bunch.
