They do the lottery, though their machine often seems to be suffering from technical problems, (working with the machines in the past, I know how unreliable they can be, so it's not their fault). Prices are nothing to complain about, being about average compared to the shops in the area, and sometimes a few pence cheaper than shops in the Southend Town Centre. Staff will try to help you where possible too, and will always greet you.

This is a great little newsagents in the Woodgrange Drive parade of shops. Despite competition from…read morethe 2 larger stores in the parade it holds its own as a traditional newsagents. Much of this is due to the genuine friendliness and interest shown by the family who run it. They have our paper delivered weekly and it is a reliable service. The shop stocks papers, magazines, sweets and chocolates, ice-lollies and also some convenience food e.g. sugar, milk, biscuits. It also has some basic pet supplies (food and bedding), and a cash machine (although there is a charge made when using the machine). There are also lots of other bits and pieces - too many to mention. It is usually possible to park in the layby just outside the shop
