Service is prompt, just make sure you know what you're ordering! We tried tarta de la abuela and crema tostada, both fantastic and local flavors. Tarta de la abuela has that perfect mix of cookies, chocolate but also a nice touch of rich pine nuts Crema tostada is like a hug-- some liken it to crème brûlée, but in custardy ice cream form. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Aside from ice cream, they also make fresh horchata which in Spain is made with chufas, or tiger nuts. They have a more earthy flavor than that of the Mexican horchata made with almonds/rice, but I liked it! This is the quintessential summer dessert spot ^_^

Unfortunately, our stay here was not long enough to sample all of therm while hoping to stay alive! This one, in a little pedestrian area not very far from the Picasso museum (Malaga is the birth place of the artist), got our attention and we could not be here without trying the famous "Malaga" flavour. We usually associate the "Malaga" ice cream flavour with "rum and raisin" but apparently, this is not quite authentic. The real one is made a a sweet wine from Malaga and a local variety of raisin. It is not surprising that we can only get the real one here since it is not easy to find the authentic ingredients elsewhere. And indeed, this is an experience that worth the trip in itself... okay, I wouldn't go so far, but it is quite good and you should try it when you come to Malaga... and you should! This is one of my favorite cities!
