Really enjoy this spot when I first tried it out last year with a friend. Really loved this place when I got to try it with the family! When I brought the kids, we ordered their burgers with fries and chicken tenders w/ a side of mac and cheese. Kids had leftovers and really enjoyed their mac and cheese. As you know from my prior reviews, I like to bring my boys whenever I get the opportunity and scoop the area out. I love that they have plenty of tables, but love it whenever we can grab a booth instead. Their cigar man signature sandwich is a must! It's a cuban sandwich and my husband and I always enjoy it. I will try to order it to go if I'm out with my friends. Everything else that I've had here has been really good and the staff are friendly and fast! I will be returning here again! P.S - it's at the end of the shopping strip. Plenty of parking to choose from, I always park on the side of the building. read more

My husband and I came in for breakfast. It was pretty busy so that seemed like a good sign. We started with the cinnamon rolls which were pretty tasty. Then I had the corned beef hash which was really good and my husband had an omelet which he enjoyed a lot. The service was great. People were quick to respond and very friendly. My sister, brother in law, their baby, and I went to Marty's for dinner this past Sunday and had a great time. We lucked out because it was pretty quiet so we got a table right away. My sister had been craving onion rings and chose Marty's since she some good ones the last time she went. She got sliders with onion rings, I got the greek pita/gyro with onion rings, and her husband got a burger with fries. All the food was delicious - we all finished our plates and I even ordered a togo meal for my husband since he was working and had to miss our dinner together. Our waitress was really nice and quick with getting our drinks, food, as well as the to go meal. that i ordered right before she passed out the checks. We had a great time and I think we'll be back pretty soon! read more

Ordered a chicken pita and a chicken avocado wrap. The chicken was so dry and overcooked it was nearly inedible, in fact my wife's pita was inedible minus the one bite taken to determine that. Ordered a beer, received the wrong beer. No big deal but when they argued with me that I should just accept the wrong beer, that was a big deal. I drank water. Ordered a burger medium rare - specified I wanted it pink in the middle. It arrived well done. I sent it back. The second one arrived 15 minutes later...well done. They also brought the wrong fries. This was my second visit because I figured the first visit couldn't have been typical. It was worse the second time. Never again....but your mileage may vary. read more

Delicious breakfast! We went with friends after a 5k and it filled me right up. I had the cinnamon roll to start off and it was giant. It was the perfect. Eating it was like eating dessert before a meal. I had the breakfast burrito and it was very good. We had a spur of the moment family get together at Marty's Grill. From the very start everything was top notch. Our server was Ashton, who was delightful, knowledgeable, friendly and fast. He made excellent recommendations and was extremely patient as we rangled the little ones and came up with our orders. The food was delicious. My personal recommendation would be the Tequila Lime Chicken with Rice. My drink was a French 75 and the bartender nailed it! Right off the bat we were greeted and seated by the friendliest bartender! There were too many things that I wanted from the menu but I settled on the first thing I saw- The Pittsburgh Salad!!! I am from PA and have been trying to get The Pittsburgh Salad on any menu of my friend's restaurants with no luck. I was quite happy to see it here...and it did not disappoint! We stopped here on the way from the DC area to Williamsburg. It was a Sunday and crowded bc of the offered Sunday brunch. We were quickly seated by friendly wait staff. We ordered fried oysters, salad, Reuben and onion rings. All items were delivered in a timely manner and in typically southern friendly fashion. The Reuben was fantastic, as were the fried oysters. We also shared tone of their house famous bloody marys which did not disappoint. This is highly recommended for its service and food. read more

This spot was recommended by some friends so three of us went for dinner on a Saturday evening. It is located in a mall area so there is plenty of parking and it is on the end so it is easy to find and get into. We were seated quickly and the waiter seemed very nice. They have a decent beer list with some local ones on it. My son had a BBQ sandwich. We had a fried chicken sandwich and fish and chips. By far, the chicken was the best. Unfortunately, my fish was over cooked and the batter was a very dark brown. The fish was good but the outer layer was not. It is a typical grill/pub style environment and food. read more

I have been to Marty's 4 times that I can remember and every single time it has been a poor experience. This last time in particular is the final straw for me. I am a picky eater so every time I go I order the same thing, a burger with bacon and mustard and a side of fries. For my burger, it is in the area of $12 which I would normally say is reasonable. However, at Marty's it is the opposite. The burger comes with what I am 100% certain is cheap microwave bacon on it and no mustard. The mustard is in a cup on the side because it is too difficult for them to squirt it on the burger in the back apparently. The fries are somehow a combination of overcooked crunchy and undercooked chewy. However, the worst part is that I am quite confident the hamburger that was used was expired. Upon my first bite I could tell it tasted different than it normally does, unfortunately for me though it took me about half of the burger to realize what was wrong. Moments after said realization, I was in the bathroom. I write this review after throwing up at home. On top of that, the experience is always subpar. Most of the staff is lazy and unconcerned with anything you ask them for, your food will take forever to come out even if they're not busy, and I have never once seen a manager so I'm not sure if they even have any. Go literally anywhere else in Hanover, you will be able to get anything on their menu for cheaper and of better quality. read more

Food amazing! In my opinion the best time to go is for breakfast. For how popular this restaurant is, the prices are actually really reasonable. It can be loud in there if you don't care for loud environment. There is also a room with a bar, tv, etc. Probably my only "complaint" would be how long the wait can be. The other day I went there for dinner and we were there for about an hour just waiting for our food. But if you don't mind a little wait, the food definitely makes up for it! read more

I surprised I haven't written a review before now! I love Marty's! It's a local, cool joint with a chill vibe! I've been here for breakfast and lunch and it's always good! The burgers are big and juicy and the club sandwiches are packed with cold cuts, cheeses, veggies and bacon! Recently my Friend and I popped in for breakfast and we were blown away by the Ben's Big Breakfast! Two eggs, choice of protein, grits or potatoes, choice of bread (we got the delish English muffin) all for $6.75! It was a lot of food for a knock out price! The bacon was meaty and crispy, the eggs were done just right, creamy grits, and loved the nooks and crannies of the muffin slathered with butter and jelly! The service was great! Quick, friendly, efficient! And it was super clean! I've been to some places even during Covid, where they use the same rag to clean the tables. But here, they spray disinfectant and wipe them down so you feel good about sitting down without having to clean the table yourself. If you're OCD like me, I carry a travel size Lysol everywhere I go! I did so even before the pandemic! The restrooms were also clean! Came with some friends in between breakfast and lunchtime. It was a busy time and we did wait a long time for our food, but this was expected on a Sunday. I got the Southern Benedict which has fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, and poached eggs. The hollandaise wasn't very flavorful, but I liked how much they put on the plate. The flavor of the pimento cheese did come through which was appreciated. The side of potatoes was grossly undercooked and under seasoned. My husband got what was names a shaved chicken sandwich which ended up coming with what appeared to be pre-prepared chicken cubes. Our friend got a salad which was huge and looked delicious. Someone else got the bacon cheese fries which looked good, but I feel is something that would be pretty difficult to mess up. Another person had a biscuit on their plate which was humongous. They said it was delicious, moist, and flakey. I'd say If you are looking for a place that is affordable and has lots of options then Marty's may be for you. Their lunch and dinner menu features many sandwiches and burgers, with a few other entree options such as crab cakes, meatloaf, and chicken & waffles. I usually order one of their many sandwiches, and haven't been disappointed. The restaurant is located in a shopping center next a Kroger, so there is plenty of parking. The main dining room has a cozy feel, and there is also a bar area in another dining room with TVs to watch sports. Additionally, they have a covered patio area for outdoor dining. The service is always friendly. They are popular, so they can get busy at times, but the service is usually fairly quick. read more

This is a hidden gem and can easily be overlooked in this suburban shopping center. Initial vibes is that this is definitely a local spot but also gave me "I am on vacation" vibes with the ample selection of cocktails and drinks. We came here early on Saturday morning and was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and the food came out FAST. Which I loved. There were tons of family there with plenty of room and seating in the main area. There was also an outdoor patio, which looks like they also have a live music rotation. FOOD: oh em gee. I wish I lived closer. I was super tempted to order a lunch or dinner item but it was a bit too early. I opted for a cinnamon bun and coffee. The cinnamon bun was MASSIVE. I was only able to eat a quarter of it. It was pipping hot but not too sweet. I will say I wish it had a bit more cinnamon. Side note, I asked for my coffee to go and the sweet waitress bought me a whole full cup! My husband got the corned beef hash and it was delicious. The hash was crispy and flavorful. That being said, the biscuit was the real winner. Super buttery and flakey. It was so good we got one to go. If you are in this area definitely recommend a stop! If you live in the area. Everything I have ordered has been excellent, both, breakfast and lunch!! The servers are also consistently attentive.

We went to Marty's for breakfast and were seated promptly. There was a medium sized crowd. Service was a little slow even though there were 4 servers. I ordered the chipped beef on whole wheat toast with a side of breakfast potatoes, Worst chipped beef I have ever had. It was not "chipped" beef. There were TINY specks of beef In white gravy giving it no flavor. I am thinking it is the same white gravy used for sausage gravy and either sausage bits or beef bits were added depending on which you ordered. The toast was over done and cut into little squares (weird). My friend ordered her chipped beef on biscuits. Same terrible chipped beef over dry, heavy biscuits. My friend even mentioned to the server that her food was not good. No apology or offer to replace the food. The server never returned to refill coffee. Took a while and a couple attempts to waive down server to get the check. When I showed the server a picture of real "chipped" beef, her response was that Marty's was shredded. Even shredded would have been larger pieces of beef. At this point the server said she would have brought something else if we had told her. We did, she didn't. I was less than impressed and not sure I would return for breakfast. read more

Hey, before today I was always thrilled with Marty's (dining in). Today, I ordered 2 Morgan's chopped crab salads to go. The portions are tiny and absolutely not worth $14.50/ea. The menu says: Warm lump crab meat served atop mixed greens tossed with parmesan cheese, smoked bacon, diced tomatoes and cayenne ranch. Taste, appearance and portion size are a 1, says me and my dining partner. There's about a tablespoon of cold crab meat scattered on very few greens. No tomatoes. Cold bacon crumble and no parmesan. I should have checked before leaving. Really disappointed. May try dine in again but maybe not. read more

Martys is always good, local favorite! Homemade everything from salads to meatloaf, salt and pepper shrimp, baked bites are chicken not breaded with a buffalo sauce. Crushes are so good- vodka drinks with fresh oranges or limes. Fantastic service all the time! read more

We stopped here for a Monday lunch as we were driving home through Virginia on route 301. It was a great choice--there are quite a few restaurants that are not open on Monday on this route. We were nicely surprised by the long list of sandwiches. They were $13-$14, but they were huge and they were good. I think two people could split one and be satisfied. They came with a choice of coleslaw, french fries, and perhaps one other choice. I ordered the Lacey's chicken BLT (avocado, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese, and a whole chicken breast with Ranch dressing on a soft roll). Thankfully, the soft roll squishes down, so it is possible to fit in an adult mouth. My husband's Club sandwich with 3 pieces of bread was an equally impressive offering. My abundant serving of French fries were fresh and crispy, and my husband's Cole slaw was fresh with a light white dressing without a vinegar taste. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the menu goes on for pages. Some of their appetizers could make a nice small lunch. Our waiter was fast and efficient.
