Breakfast nachos were so yummy. Really should be listed as a breakfast for two. Bacon, chorizo, hash browns, scrambled eggs, queso, fresh salsa, sour cream all over multi colored nachos. I am glad I ordered this.

My chicken pita and onion rings (also came with cranch sauce - chipotle ranch - that was really tasty!)

My sister, brother in law, their baby, and I went to Marty's for dinner this past Sunday and had a great time. We lucked out because it was pretty quiet so we got a table right away. My sister had been craving onion rings and chose Marty's since she some good ones the last time she went. She got sliders with onion rings, I got the greek pita/gyro with onion rings, and her husband got a burger with fries. All the food was delicious - we all finished our plates and I even ordered a togo meal for my husband since he was working and had to miss our dinner together. Our waitress was really nice and quick with getting our drinks, food, as well as the to go meal. that i ordered right before she passed out the checks. We had a great time and I think we'll be back pretty soon!

Overpriced especially for what you get. Much better options abound. Used to enjoy it here but their prices went through the roof.

Several times, Joshua has waited our table and his service is so commendable that we have personally requested him when we've returned. However, our experience at the bar tonight was actually what spawned this review. Honestly, I should have left a 5-star review ages ago. But this bar experience lit a fire under me to take the time to type something up. First off, Charred's posted closing time is 10PM. My wife and I got there around 9:35 and we felt guilty for doing so. The bartender (Emily) took our drink and food orders and never said a thing like what you hear at a lot of places when you show up late, like "our kitchen is closed" or "last call is in 10 minutes". No, she made us feel like we had arrived with impeccable timing. I even asked if we were putting her out at all and she assured us we could stay as long as we wanted. Our food arrived and was wonderful, as always. A little after 10PM, another bartender (Lauren) asked us if we wanted another drink. It was already after close and we were the next to last customers in the place. She assured me that it was fine to stay as long as we needed to, so I went ahead and ordered another beer. By this time, we were the only customers left in the entire restaurant. There were still plenty of kitchen workers and wait staff working diligently to prepare for close, but not one person seemed like they were in any hurry for us to leave. Here's the best part: although my final beer order was the last sale of the day, both bartenders (Emily and Lauren) worked together to ensure that my beer was poured perfectly. I'm not kidding, Lauren initially poured the beer and then Emily came over and assisted her with ensuring that the pour was correct. No one likes an inch of head on a draft beer. These ladies got it 100% right, and I complimented them on it. While we were the LAST customers in the place, they treated us like we were the most important customers of the day! Folks, you cannot put a price tag on that. Employees like this are hard to find and even harder to keep. Charred has won our patronage for years to come. This is a restaurant/bar that knows how to hire and train employees who will deliver a magnificent experience. Well done!

Hubby had short ribs, Brussels and cheese grits. Kiddo had chicken and waffles with gravy, and I had the Barbecue Sundae. All three were so tasty! The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. Supper! has earned its reputation as a longtime Richmond favorite. Great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

We opted to sit indoors but near the patio, so there was a nice cross breeze. I ordered the popcorn to start and my mom ordered pretzel bites. My mom raved about her meal, but I could barely stomach the omelet. It was SO bland. I immediately let our server know, and she let me swap for something else. I asked for the muffalletta, but they were out of stock, so instead I ordered the wake n bacon. I wouldn't rave about it like my mom did, but it was much better than the omelet. If I'm in Ashland, I'd consider a return trip sometime to try more of their menu. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly.
