I was specifically told that the Emerald line of credit went off of your credit check by the refund advance did not and that the advance would just split my refund in half and I would receive half up front and the other half when the government did the refunds in February. I returned a week later with my W2. I was not told how much it would cost to prepare my taxes before we started. The prep took less than 15 minutes and I was not only charged 250 dollars with a $40 dollar fee on top but then was told that she was not sure if they went off of a credit check. Very misleading. My. Tax return und is more than 5k but they only gave me an advance of $500. So I basically spent almost $300 to have her prepare something that any idiotcan do online for free and in the end you only walk out with $500. I would not recommend this place unless you want to get ripped off.
