Found out about this restaurant on a video on youtube. So this is one of the places in Queretaro Mexico that we were seeking. Arriving to the restaurant you're greeted by a nice lady who was wearing Mexican attire and made you feel very comfortable. As we were seated the menu was given to us and it was a few pages long. We inquired about some dishes and definitely wanted to try the mezcal tasting. We ordered stone soup.. it involved a tomato based fish soup with a hot stone to cook it (delish). We also tried a Mexican pizza (tlayudas) it's like big round tostada filled with your choice of meat and or edible bugs, beans, cream (Da Bomb!) Here come the mezcal tastings(Whoooo!!) Mind you these were not your measley. Droplets of mezcal!!? Each 7 tastings were of proper shot size.. good thing our hotel was nearby.. I can't remember the rest of the food we had, obviously... Great place to enjoy our last day in Mexico!!!

This place is so interesting - from the menu format, to the food, to the bathrooms! It is a couple doors from our hotel but was recommended by friends who ordered for us - getting a ton of dishes family-style. Most of the selections (meats, moles, pickled veggies, cheeses) were served in a large partitioned platter with fresh tortillas, so one just scooped the different ingredients onto a tortilla. There was also a "Mexican" pizza type dish, on a large crunchy tortilla that was a favorite. Also good, all the mezcals we got to sample and the Mexican-style coffee (cafe y olla) with cinnamon and brown sugar. The space is a courtyard area and we sat at the long table. Service was very good, friendly and helpful. The bathrooms - with the bicycle theme - was wild.

Excellent food. It increased my knowledge and experience of the Mexican cuisine. Best horchata. Excellent entomatadas. The cecina, the vaso relleno, el chile pasilla, everything was a new experience. Highly recommended. For the adventurous, they have grasshopper topped desert! I could not make myself try them but my wife and daughter did! The menu is hard to read if you are English speaking and may need help ordering. Highly recommended.

Lots of Oaxacan dishes. The menu has many choices. Great service. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Large selection of mezcals.

    Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks

Liked it. Oaxaca has the best food but it is very far from Querétaro, and these guys offer a chance to sample the cuisine at a reasonable price. It serves dishes that are hard to find even in Mexico, such as tequila worms and cricket tacos.

We started with complimentary fresh salsas and a savory cheesy bite. Very nice! One of the salsas had a real spicy kick, which I enjoyed. Also split and shared: - Sopa de Lima, a regional chicken and lime soup. Loved this! It was a light, brothy dish, and felt very nourishing. Delicious. Also tried adding some of the fresh salsas (as suggested). - Enchiladas Mole Negro. I'm glad I tried this one! Made me feel like I've never actually had authentic mole in my life. This was really rich, with complex flavor. Was sweet as well, and savory. - Tacos Cochinita Pibil. Yummy! Loved this with the salsas as well. Which, by the way, were refilled! A friend got the grasshopper appetizer as well which turned out to be a pretty sizeable plate full. So we all got to try that as well! Not bad not bad. Not quite what I was expecting, but I was happy to try it! (I thought they'd be salty and crunchy; actually they were softer and tasted a bit tea like. Leisurely and relaxed dining. Nice drinks too. So many agua Fresca options! I got a guava lime one.

Due to the holiday and the latter hour, a lot of restaurants were shutting down. Saw a recommendation on here for this place and made a call. They were closing in less than an hour but told be to bring my party in. We were immediately sat . Our server Boni attended us and made great recommendations. I'll post some pages form the menu because the choices were vast.and adventurous. If you're in town, please check it out. Right by the town square. The staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming. Great attentive service. Didn't have room for dessert and they also had a breakfast menu.
