I have been coming to this hostel since my backpacking days in 1994. Tossa is a beautiful port…read moretown and the family that runs this hotel knows everyone in the town and can provide you the very best advice. They speak many languages.(I spoke English, Catalan, Spanish, and German with them). This isn't your ordinary hostel. It has an amazing breakfast and if you ask, you can request to have your breakfast on the rooftop. It has the very best view of Tossa. I spent many nights after partying having a night cap at the hotel before going to bed. Now that I am older, I enjoy sitting at the bar and talking with the owners after a nice dinner.
They also have a pet turtle that I have come to love and now that I have children, even my daughter wants to stop and see the turtle.
The rooms are clean. The service outstanding! The price is perfect. We have so many wonderful memories. The hostel is a success because of word of mouth. I used to be able to just show up but know I strongly recommend getting a reservation.
There is no swimming pool, but I question anyone who goes to Tossa to swim at a pool. The water, beach and castle walls are wonderful.
