Ok, we went for my in-laws birthday. She enjoyed her time over all since we could all be together. But let's start with the good. Our server was present and the store was clean. That's all I can say. That's why they have a second star. So there were 6 of us and first off we went for lunch. Not a soul was there... that should have told me something right off the bat. We were sat in a very uncomfortable table with the middle two people in the middle of two tables.... Not a soul was there but of all tables we were sat there. No idea why. We all ordered an entree and shared for the table. We ordered naan and garlic naan. The naan came out thin and crispy, almost like pita chips. A few were ok but most were pita chips. Photo below. The entrees we had are in the photos, we also had chicken tandoori which they told us would take about 25 minutes, it took about 40 minutes. Of all the foods that were the "ok" were the tandoori and the paneer. I would never tell anyone to go here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area to get Indian food.

Tried out Masala Mantra, a fairly new Indian fusion spot in West Palm Beach, and had a great experience! I ordered the Gobi Manchurian with Garlic Naan, and while the flavors were solid, the Gobi had a bit too much batter, making it less crispy than I would have liked. The spice level was medium, which was fine, but as someone who enjoys a little extra heat, I might kick it up a notch next time. The Garlic Naan was fresh and flavorful, a perfect complement to the meal. Service was smooth, since the restaurant wasn't too busy, I got seated quickly, and the food came out fast. Overall, a great experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back to explore more of their authentic and fusion-inspired dishes. Definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of Indian flavors!

Loved it here, whenever i'm in the royal area I always stop by :) The owner is so sweet and nice. Nice ambiance with a great playlist. Food is always a hit never a miss.

Walking in the place it gives a nice laid back but chic feeling. They have a nice selection of drinks. I had the Chicken Kadai. The tender chicken sits in a nice creamy tomato sauce. At first bit you can sense a little sweetness but then the spice kicks in afterwards creating a pleasant combination.

Came to Masala Mantra as a recommendation from a friend. I love Indian food and have my regular spots, but was told that this place has butter chicken to die for, so that's what I got! Unfortunately I got my order to-go, so I can't really comment on the service, but the ambiance seemed very nice when I walked in. I ordered the butter chicken and the cheesy garlic naan. It is definitely the most expensive Indian I've ever had. The butter chicken is $24 and the naan was $9...but I've gotta say, it was worth the price point. Despite my 45-minite drive home after picking up my order, it was still warm and fresh, I was pleasantly surprised, so I can only imagine how much better it would be when sitting inside. The butter chicken is creamy, big chunks of good quality chicken and a good portion. The naan could've used a bit more garlic, but was very soft and cheesy. Will absolutely be back to try some of their other menu items!

We went to meet friends here for dinner. We recognized the location as a former bistro bar that we used to frequent many years ago. There's easy parking in the lot out front. And inside, it's been re-decorated and re modeled with an upscale vibe. The menu is large with a lot of options. If you have had Indian food before, there are many of the familiar dishes here but also a few with names I hadn't ever seen. My vegetarian girlfriend was happy that there were a number of options from which to choose. When we visited on a Saturday evening, we'd made reservations. Early on, they weren't that busy, but half the tables were full when we left. We skipped the appetizers and went right to the main dishes. Our friends chose a lamb dum biryani which is mainly rice with bits of lamb and veggies. I think of biryani as an Indian version of paella. She had the dum aloo dish which featured potatoes in a slightly spicy sauce. I had their chapli kabab which was three patties of grilled and spiced tandoori ground lamb. It was served dry which the server made sure to tell me about in advance. My husband had the lamb khadale which was pieces of lamb in a curry sauce with nutmeg. His "medium" spice level was a bit too much, but he still liked his meal. We both ordered sides of bread. We had their butter naan, and they had an order of roti. Our friends also had dessert. They shared a traditional Indian ice cream dish called kulfi. It had an "ice pop" which was the kulfi and a scoop of other ice cream on the plate. Service was very good. She was helpful in explaining some of the dishes and helped my friends make a choice of their entrees. The water glasses were refilled frequently. And yes, even though they are a tad expensive, we'd return again.

Previously known as Oak, this space has completely transformed into a sophisticated, upscale restaurant that delivers exquisite Indian cuisine. I was captivated by the savory food that burst with various spices and tantalized the senses. When you enter through the heavy glass-pained front door, you are greeted with dark gray walls, post-modern white neon lighting from the ceiling. There is a speak up-shaped bar with bright wall lighting illuminating the glass top liquor shelving. The dining area comprises tables seating that has cushy black leather booths and silver pillows around the perimeter and standard table and chair seating in the middle. The cocktails were very good, especially the saffron-infused gin-based golden martini that I could drink a few in one sitting. The Laung Delight was also a lovely drink made with clove-infused tequila. Both the stuffed mushrooms and the Achari chicken wings were savory and delicious, with a nice spice and heat for the former that I felt was magical. Although, my friends who order the former didn't realize it would be a touch spicier than they anticipated as they don't do spicy that much. But I really loved it. The chicken wings were good to where they didn't need any sauce that we received for dipping. The lamb khadale was my absolute favorite dish of what was ordered. The coconut-based curry dish was super amazing. I also enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken, which the sauces I I loved dipping with my chili garlic naan bread that was also fabulous. The paneer lababdar was surprisingly good and filling between the cottage cheese, garam masala, and fenugreek. For a finisher, I enjoyed the chocolate samosa that was bursting with melted chocolate goodness. The service was great between the primary server and other associates working the dining area to make sure finished plates were cleared and glasses of water were filled. They definitely made sure we had what we need and promised to my friends not to make the stuffed mushrooms spicy next time. Wasn't an issue with me as I savored that dish with glee. We are returning to enjoy happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm where drinks are half off and try more of their Indian cuisine as it's magical.

This place is such a delicious choice for your Indian food fix. You will not be disappointed. I don't think as many people, who should, know about this hidden gem. Some of the best food I've ever had. You MUST like some spicy and spice. Otherwise, this place will not be for you. But for us... we will come back again and again. If you get the dishes we got, you will love them. But it's only our first visit but we plan to try some more and can't wait to do so. We got the Basket Chaat (a must try) Lamb Khadale, Mantra Special Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan. I loooove spicy but mild was more than enough spicy to get the full flavor of the dish. Medium is going to be super spicy. Trust me! But please go. Enjoy! 5 stars for us for food.

Remarkably well renovated restaurant. Modern and contemporary. I was immediately reminded of Dame Helen Mirren's movie ' 100 foot journey'. The food is very appropriately spiced- not killer spice as in the majority of Indian restaurants Ive experienced worldwide. This restaurant is well run with very experienced servers and a good and large cocktail menu. All male servers today but on previous visits the female staff are equally good. Too bad I ate too much of the appetizer so I could not finish my main dish. Their servings are designed to share family style. Outdoor seating for the season and winter should be great. I am so glad that Josee and I came tonite to this delightful restaurant tonight. It got crowded but 7 pm. Nicely tucked away in the far end of the Southern Palms ( Costco plaza) with very accessible parking.

Saw this place and wanted to check it out because I love Indian food. There are many choices in the area already. The place is nicely decorated inside and offers an intimate upscale feel. They do have music playing. The menu offers meat and vegetarian options. There is a bar area with seating. There were several patrons coming in. We had the mantra special chicken curry and the Sag Paneer. It comes with basmati rice. We did not opt for naan or dessert. Both dishes were good and spicy. Prices were a bit higher than similar places in the area but they have the best ambiance! Nice place for a date. Service was very good.

I really liked this place. Plenty of parking spaces and easy to drive into this strip mall. The owner was there and you can always tell who owns or runs the establishment. Inside the music is trendy with a mix of Indian beats and American hits. The food tasted great with prices slightly higher than other Indian places in the area. This place has been open for about a month so Happy Hour will soon be showing up and so will I.

Great new place. Clean. New. Upscale. I'm peasant attentive servers. Food was definitely above and beyond your average Indian place. Maybe slightly pricier than most but generous portions compared to some. Worth trying for sure.

It's only been open for 6 months and none of us had been, so we were eager to try a "new to us" place. It's in an area on the south side of the street just before you go over the bridge. There is parking in the small lot out front. Inside, there's a large bar. They have applied, but not received their liquor license yet. The menu is pretty extensive but it is easy to follow as it's divided by types of meat or not or specialties. They even have some Indo-Chinese dishes, too. We had good and friendly service while there. My husband got the lamb Rogan Josh medium spicy . I got the lamb tikka masala mild. We shared fluffy jasmine rice and some butter naan. Everything was delicious. My husband ate up everything. I brought some home to have for another meal. Our friend had a vegan dish with cauliflower and potatoes. And her husband had a lamb korma medium spicy. They also shared some Jasmin rice and paratha -- a whole wheat tandoori bread. They really liked their meals, as well. My husband also enjoyed a (fragrant) masala chai -- hot black tea with various spices. There weren't that many people dining in on the night we came, but there were a lot of folks picking up take out orders. We'd definitely return.

The outdoor dining area was gorgeous, but too hot to dine outside. We proceeded to eat inside. The bathroom was extremely clean- my only recommendation would be to add toilet seat covers. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted very kindly and the menu was explained to us, all while the signature, popular dishes were brought to our attention. We ordered some drinks (Dirty Chai and the Bollywood Old Fashioned (not pictured)) which were phenomenal. The bartender had a heavy hand, which is always appreciated by a Las Vegas local. Our appetizers were brought fairly quickly & enjoyed almost immediately. The eggplant dish had a kick to it. The Brussels sprouts were extremely tasty. There were about four to five different flavors dancing on our tongues. The fish was phenomenal and was served in a banana leaf. It did not even taste like fish. The Bharlivangi had an interesting flavor & was very unique. Butter chicken is always a great go to at any Indian restaurant because of the mix of flavors. The duck was amazing and the sauce and soft egg it was accompanied by was perfectly paired. The desserts were extraordinary. We didn't even know if we could order dessert because we were so full... then we saw the menu and knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity. The golab Jamun was the perfect hot temperature, doughy and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the ice cream. Jude, our server, was very attentive and kind. I am usually hesitant when the server recommends the signature items on the menu (the fish and Bharlivangi), but we were not disappointed at ALL. I hope he is our server in every lifetime. I do not have enough nice things to say about him, his service and demeanor. Overall a phenomenal experience and I will ensure this restaurant is on my itinerary each time I visit West Palm Beach.

Derrick our server was wonderful in giving us descriptions of many of the dishes. There is no bread with sauce or onions provided that you get elsewhere. We ordered the crispy calamari, not your standard Greek salad, lamb samosas, and duck leg bryiani. Crispy calamari was pretty greasy as it sat in a puddle of oil on the wax paper, heavily batter, with a mayo base dipping sauce. Calamari was a bit overcooked and rubbery, and flavor was our least liked dish. The salad had fresh greens, was well dressed and flavorful with pomegranate, beets and chickpeas. The lamb samosas are served w only the green cilantro mint sauce. I asked for the tamarind sauce which I feel compliments and offsets the gaminess of the lamb. They charged $4 for the sauce, which other restaurants provide free of charge. The duck bryiani was tender and flavorful...the meat falls right off the bone. My husband served the rice and duck and I was commenting that the bryiani lacked the usual flavors from the nuts and raisins as mine was plain rice, and slightly dry. Immediately after, I looked and realized the the one side of the dish has all the raisins and cashew nuts...very odd that it wasn't mixed into and throughout the entire dish. The raisins were darker and not as sweet as the raisins we've had with other dishes. It is served w a rich broth but we weren't sure how we were supposed to enjoy the dish. It was much more flavorful and palatable once we incorporated some of the broth raisins and nuts into the rice. Overall we did enjoy the meal, and look forward to returning to try more dishes.
