What a solid little take away joint I've just found! In general, I am a huge fan of wrapped up food items such as the kebab, and its Mexican cousin, the burrito. In times when I'm trying to stay healthy, I will opt for the Modern Australian auntie, the veggie wrap. And you really can't go wrong with the Japanese stepfather, the sushi roll. Yes, many cultures have wrapped their cuisine in a way that's conducive to shoving it into your face on the go. And good on them. It's convenient, it's classy, it's efficient.... It's awesome.
The other night I was in a hurry to grab some grub and head to my friend's place to watch the world cup final (Go All Blacks!). I swung into Mashallah Indian Cuisine (the window also advertises it as Pakistani) more out of convenience than selection. Keeping in line with my preference for wrapped up bundles of sustenance, I chose the tandoori chicken wrap ($7.50). Fast forward 6 minutes and I was sinking my teeth into an extremely delicious naan wrapped chicken delight. Complete with salad, mint yogurt sauce, and with a spicy kick to the chicken, that wrap was completely delicious. I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing myself because I was completely stuffed, but I couldn't stop the hand to mouth action in time. Oh well, it was worth it.
