Two have moved on to elementary school, and our son is in his last year there. First and foremost, we love what Sunnyside does for our kids. In a beautiful and warm facility, caring teachers helped (and are helping) prepare our kids for the next steps in their lives in a safe and stimulating environment. With just the right mix of learning and play, we have seen first hand the benefit of the Sunnyside approach as both of our daughters entered a Chinese immersion Kindergarten well prepared both socially and intellectually. I credit Sunnyside's deep commitment to a diverse environment for ensuring that my children were exposed to many types of people and approaches to life. Tolstoy wrote in Anna Karenina: "...if it is true that there are as many minds as there are heads, then there are as many kinds of love as there are hearts..." Sunnyside demonstrated this truth to our family. On top of that is the supportive and friendly community fostered by Sunnyside's status as a parent co-op. Our kids aren't the only ones who've made wonderful friends here, and the relationships we've made have persisted beyond the end of our children's enrollment at the center. We've met kind, dedicated, intelligent people from all over the Valley, and our lives are richer for it. I strongly recommend Sunnyside for your children.

The open, emergent curriculum fosters imagination, creativity and confidence, and gets the kids outside and moving their bodies frequently throughout the day. The school's focus on social and emotional skills has been a great benefit as well. We often comment that children from Nonotuck seem to have an easier time sharing and navigating conflict with other children. Nonotuck also offers a cooperative community of families and teachers working together to not only raise strong, intelligent, confident children, but also to support parents and families as they work through the challenges of raising children. Many friendships are made between children and parents alike.

I've never made a better decision. P.I. is fantastic. The staff is caring, kind, and approachable. I love that my son has 2 main teachers, but feels comfortable going to any member of the staff. I also love that P.I. brings in special actives for the kiddos- pony rides, zoo on the go, bounce houses and more! During the day the kiddos get a well balanced amount of free play, structured activities/learning and outdoor time. The playground is safe, well supervised and fun! The staff is very accommodating to each child's individual needs (for potty training, eating, etc. etc.)

She's just 17 and still in high school so she is employed only part-time during the school year, but is looking forward to being there full time in the summer again. I didn't write this review to promote the sale of the book but to underscore the wonderful experience I had there, from early childhood and decades later. The book is called "Paradise Pond."
