I have been a member for 5 years and the prices are now sky high. $65 was the original price for an hour and now it is $125 ($188 for a 90 minute massage). The services are the same and the decor hasn't been updated in the past 5 years, so I can't understand the hike in rates. There is an ever revolving staff change also. If you find a therapist you like, there is a good chance they will be gone within a couple months. read more

I'm really not sure where to begin with this review. This was my first time here. I made an online appointment with Zach. I have a herniated disc in my neck and had been dealing with a lot of shoulder pain that essentially spread out all over. I decided to get a massage in the hopes that it would help. I know that when you get massaged, toxins are released in your body. I know that you can also be very sore the next day so I knew I'd expect that. Zach was friendly but didn't seem too prepared for my appointment. It felt like I was getting massaged in someone's dorm room. He had to leave twice because he forgot something. His technique for massaging is unusual; almost like a chiropractor. Lots of odd movements, lots of elbow usage. He definitely got in the places that needed work. It hurt a lot but it's also suppose to in order to get relief. I will say the next day, I was much worse. Much worse.... could barely move. Whatever manipulation he did, really F**ed me up. The appointment was also $70 which was affordable. Sadly, if I want future massages, it would be $120 going forward. $50 more isn't worth the level of pain I am in. I certainly am not blaming Zach for essentially doing his job however, the many years I have been getting work done, I've never experienced this type of aftermath. I won't be returning, primarily due to the cost. If it were $70 all the time, I would return weekly just to fix the issue I have. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I'm usually pretty conservative about giving negative reviews. I deal with people's complaints at my job, so I get it, people are awful. I know people have bad days and I don't think that one bad experience warrants a bad review, but I've had several. I have consistently been treated rudely at this location and their customer service is awful. The massages are okay, some of the therapists are better than others. All of the therapists have been polite. Other than my first visit and one other time pre covid the front desk staff have been rude. Sometimes it's just short, like they are too busy to bother with you, other times they are just plain condescending. Today 6/30/21 I actually left the clinic crying and did not receive my massage. They were that awful. Since the mask mandate has been lifted for the vaccinated, and I am fully vaccinated I don't regularly wear a mask anymore. I do have one in my purse and am happy to wear it if asked. I'm a nurse btw, totally supportive of whatever your rules are, just tell me. The sign on the door said vaccinated people don't need a mask. Instead of asking me to put on a mask, the front desk staff started to berate me about why I wasn't wearing a mask, if I was vaccinated, did I have my card. Did I have a mask? No, (I had left my purse in the car, but I could have gone and got it), I was just shocked and taken aback by her condescending tone and bad attitude. She kept interrupting me and wasn't listening to what I was saying. I got so flustered, I just said "I'll just leave then, thanks" and walked out the door and started crying. I have never carried my vaccination card with me because no one has ever asked for it. I'm happy to wear a mask, I wasn't trying to argue with her, maybe she thought I was? Instead of apologizing, I was told that I had gotten an email with their policy (I double checked, nothing in ANY of their emails to me about this) and basically I should have known what it was before I came. Okay, I admit I haven't read any of their emails before I went, seriously who does, but how does not reading an email mean I deserve to be treated rudely? I'm 42 years old, not too much of a crier, but I walked out of there crying. I've been in the trenches with covid since the beginning, I've held the hands of people as they died from it. I had just got off 3 nights shifts, my back was killing me and I just wanted some relief. All I wanted was a massage. Their staff wasted 10 minutes of my time trying to argue with me about something I wasn't even arguing about. Why not take the 3 seconds to say "put on a mask" and maybe a please, and let me have my full massage time. We all know that they weren't going to give me back that time in my massage. I've worn a mask there ever since they required it without complaining. I wasn't refusing to this time. I just want to be told what to do instead of trying to pick a fight (or whatever she was trying to accomplish). I've canceled my membership and I'll just eat the remaining ones, I'm out about $300 bucks, but I'd rather not go back. I don't know what's wrong with that woman, but she should get some therapy. read more

What a great place to get a massage! While I had heard of this franchise when I lived in Chicago, I hadn't had a chance to check them out until the other night. With plenty of appointments, hours that are conducive to my schedule, and friendly staff that make sure you are comfortable throughout your entire treatment, Massage Envy does it right. My therapist was Ashley A. and she was great! She took the time to understand what brought me in for a massage, and then spent the next hour working on my pain. I walked out a new person with the knowledge that I would be back. The other cool thing that Massage Envy does is that you can sign up for their monthly massage package which basically gives you a massage at $59.99 each month (a great deal!) My introductory massage was only $49.99 which is about half the price I was paying in Chicago. The place is clean, I like the waiting area (the fake fireplace was really not needed given it was 100 out but it set a nice tone) and there is plenty of free parking given it is in a strip mall. If you are looking for a great massage in the Topeka area, look no further. Massage Envy has it all! read more

This chain is set up to benefit mostly the owners. There is a membership fee of $70 a month for which you get 1 -1 hour service, this is portrayed as a discount along with small specials on products and other services. The base prices are way too high so of course they rope you in to get about 50% off. There are a few good therapists but they are not benefiting from all the money you shell out each time. The environment is not relaxing and the therapists seem to all kind of have the same style, I bought gift cards for several people and only 1 person was happy with their massage. Getting out of the membership has been a huge hassle. I could go on all day with how dissatisfied i am but just let me say this, There are lots of wonderful massage therapists and estheticians in this area -spend your money with them, dont waste your money here. read more

If I could give a zero start I would. I had booked for a massage session starting at 1030. Showed up 15 minutes before hand and was kept waiting until 1050; that's when one woman came up and said that unfortunately they could not get me in at my scheduled time (obviously since I had been waiting for 20 minutes) because the previous session ran over and the next booked appointment was at 11. I was highly disappointed in this and while they offered to see me at a later time I plainly said no as I was busy and that is why an appointment was made. The fact that I had to wait 20 minutes until someone came to discuss with me the issue was beyond unprofessional. read more

I wish I could say that I love this place! They can't keep good massage therapists at this site. I've used Massage Envy in other states and loved it--but every time I found a great therapist, they were only available between 8-4:00 during my work hours, and you had to book weeks in advance to get a good therapist. The manager is not a good manager--just my thoughts. She was rude to me, and I ended my contract with Massage Envy. read more

I received a 60 minute massage from Brittany. It was so wonderful. She paid attention to the areas I wanted to focus on and even mentioned some problem spots she noticed. She made sure to ask if I was comfortable several times. We had bursts of light conversation but she was perfectly fine to perform the massage in silence as well. I would highly recommend this spa. I love Massage Envy. They have many therapist and they are open 7 days a week. The front desk staff are amazing. I had a late massage the other night at finishing at 10:00 PM. They walked out with me to make sure I got to my car safe--that's just how caring this place is. I love the relaxing atmosphere and the massages are great. Was apprehensive about receiving massage and facial with gift card from daughter for Mother's Day. Not a little person but working on improving health and daughter thought this would help, I was worried about being judged. Turns out I had nothing to worry about, they were kind, professional and very good at what they do. I was given a gift cert for Xmas from my daughter, who is a member back in CT. Scheduled a "long overdue" massage for my aching muscles. My technician was Brittany (who was FABULOUS--BTW) and she really worked those stiff/knotted muscles. Rooms were very calming and her hands were wonderful. I'm trying to figure out how I can get my insurance company to pay for my membership or part if it anyway. I will definitely be back and can hardly wait !! I have always had a great experience at Massage Envy. I first started visiting them with my daughter in Owasso, OK. Then I found the one in Topeka, KS. I have a monthly experience of getting all the kinks worked out. My therapist (Les) listens to me each and every time as we get started and then follows up with a top-notch massage. He's very considerate and "checks" on me throughout the massage - wanting to know if the pressure is right and if I'm comfortable. Several times, he's had to work through some "tough" spots and does so with determination but yet gentleness to make it a relaxing and comfortable massage experience. I always feel so much better when I leave. The front desk associates are very pleasant and friendly and make you feel very welcomed at their facility. I have been very pleased with every visit and will continue my monthly treat to myself. read more

I have had years of knots in my neck, shoulders and back and after 60 minutes I feel more relief than physical therapy I've been through. Although it will probably take 2-3 times to really release all the tension and knots it took years to create, I am impressed with how much better I already feel after one visit. read more
